It's a decent watch box for the price. The wood look is very nice and glossy. The box has a decent weight to it. The pillow is soft but maybe it should have been covered in felt of velvet instead. The hinge feels solid and opens and closes like a more expensive box. The lining on the bottom is a good touch, gives it a little more elegance, makes it a little more slip-proof and when you set it down it doesn't make a loud ugly or cheap sound. I am not disappointed in this product.

Was surprised how good this was upon opening it! It surely don't look like a sub ten bucks box, easily a $20+.box. Mine came without any flaws, must have got lucky. It had a nicely cut tissue paper on top of it, which I really liked and recall seeing something similar on higher end watch boxes so I reused it with my gift I narrowed my search down to 2 boxes, this and another one that appeared to have a cherry finishing on it. Since i didn't have much time I bought both boxes to see their condition and was going to return the one I didn't go with. I ended up picking this box, the other one was much less quality and their QC was non-existant, there was imperfections everywhere. That should justify a return but my guilty conscience of having the first plan kicked in and I just kept it. May find a use for it, hopefully. Forgot to take pics of this Box before gifting it. Looked identical to pics here, had zero flaws.

I'll tell you it's much nicer than I expected at this price point. I bought it even after seeing a customer's review about blemishes in the finish. I have a 3/4-in long run right on the top of the box. It's not glaring but when it's in the light it can be. I'm going to end up covering it with a little custom plaque for my brother anyways. There's a photo attached in there. If somebody had the ability, I think he could be buffed down. I'm happy with my purchase and would have gladly gifted five stars if not for the raised blemish. The hinges are strong and straight. The felt bottom is just the right cushion and the box itself is pretty sturdy. There's no warping when you open it or anything. I'm happy. I'll probably buy another one for a gift watch. UPDATE: I *did actually but another one and it came in this morning. Same top notch quality and presentation. Packaged well preventing damages. I can't express enough what a value this is for gifting watches to someone special.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm a former cabinet maker. This product is pretty reel wood look and glossy finish. Inside is also very nice. Definitely recommend.
