why pay more? this thing fits like a glove.
At 2 yrs and 1 months after buying our v12 slim detect the wiping ring broke away (exacty a month after the warranty was due), revealing a shoddy retaining mechanism that left much to be desired for an almost $1k vacuum. So we called Dyson, and after a comically slow greeting and data collecting conversation, they told us the part wasn't in stock. The reseller market of OEM parts was at least at a 100% markup, so we decided to give this part a try. I was surprised how similar it is to the OEM part (other than the different trigger plastic color in some parts). It went in super easy and it's doing its job quite well.

Red plastic clip is flimsy
The original red clip is sturdier this clip is what holds the bin in place, the knock off bin had a flimsy red clip which causes the bin to keep falling out. I wouldn’t recommend this bin.
