Works for post-infectious syndrome!
Update 8 june. I am on my third bottle, i subscribed. This product is a life saver for me, i can eat pasta, drink some milk... not excessive, but if i go out with friends i am not moping around anymore, and i can enjoy a normal dinner.May: I received no compensation for this review (how do people do that, I was not offered any freebies on amazon yet....) but I digress. Two years ago I was diagnosed with post-infectious syndrome, which can mean just about anything. It manifested itself as extreme exhaustion, food intolerances, muscle twitching, swollen lymph nodes, peripheral neuropathy, and just a generally miserable state all of a sudden. I had all tests known to mankind, to include CT scans and MRIs to rule out MS and other serious ailments. I tried (and keep trying) anything that I think might help. I am definitely on an ascending curve and feeling a lot better than when it all started, but I can trigger symptoms with food. I have an app which tells me the histamine content of foods, I tried acupuncture (it worked pretty well but I moved and can’t find a local practitioner), alpha lipoic acid for the neuropathy (works ok), B complex (no difference or made it worse) magnesium salt baths (maybe relaxing but that’s about it), astragalus, various tinctures and herbs (I guess mild benefit), cut all fermented foods, alcohol, coffee, and gluten (definite improvement), an acupressure mat (if you can stand the pain...) quercetin (hard to tell if it helped, so I guess not), infrared sauna (made it worse), anti-allergy and anti-histamine drops (helped and then did not help anymore)... which brings me to the similase GFCF. I am still not clear whether GFCF means the product is gluten and casein free, or whether it helps with gluten/casein free diets. I got it on 22 April, today is 5 May. Been taking two pills before every meal, so about three times/ day. I waited to make sure I’m not deluding myself, sometimes you get frantic hoping for a magic pill. They definitely work, I can eat a greater variety of foods and I don’t have the miserable symptoms I’d get after some meals (pain, extreme exhaustion, bad gut issues, itchiness, muscle twitches, etc). I’m still trying to eat reasonably healthy but I had oysters (because yes, as soon as I feel a little better what do I do? I go get OYSTERS, please don’t judge...) so anyway, I still have some residual numbness (need to order more ALA) but very mild, and my energy is way better. I hope you find this helpful and I hope the product helps you the way it helps me.

Definitely can feel the difference
Absolutely amazing product. I am on my second bottle and already have my third on order. The pills really helps with digestion when taken with food. I used to feel bloated and experience uncomfortable pressure in my stomach when eating something that does not agree with me ( such as greasy food), but these pills help relieve that awful feeling in about 20 mins. There's no taste to it.

but I'm pretty convinced these enzymes really did effectively brake down whatever ...
Obviously if you can't eat gluten, and you accidentally do, there's going to be some intestinal damage. However, I've spent the last year in an environment where what I ate wasn't entirely under my control. Despite largely living off organic, gluten-free, powered food shakes; yogurt; unprocessed/minimally processed fruits and vegetables; and, of course, coffee - there were times when gluten definitely made it into my diet. Sometimes I could tell a few bites in, other times it was a few days later when I noticed the effects. Either way, these pills really helped in both situations. Obviously this is completely anecdotal, but I'm pretty convinced these enzymes really did effectively brake down whatever gluten in my intestines, preventing further damage and allowing healing to begin. Due to my lack of absolute dietary control, I made a habit of taking a pill once a week whether I felt like I needed one or not, as well as taking one anytime I felt like I had ingested gluten. Even when I get back to an environment where I have more control over my diet, I'm going to keep these on hand. There's always a chance for contamination, and these pills are a great way to minimize the impact. :-)

Don't Leave Home Without It!
Having Similase GFCF available on Amazon Prime and getting it delivered so fast has been fantastic! Similase GFCF has worked so well for me, I have kept it on hand ever since being diagnosed with celiac disease and dairy allergy 9 years ago. My naturopathic doctor recommended this product, along with a wheat-free and dairy-free lifestyle.I adhere to a strict diet while at home, avoiding gluten and casein, but when I am traveling, at a pot luck, or trying a new restaurant, I take Similase along. When I take 2 capsules with my meal or right after, I am able to enjoy my dining experience without allergic side effects - no bloating, gas, pain, or malaise =^) This quantity (120 capsules) lasts quite a while and is well worth the money, especially since I stick to my usual diet and only use it as needed. My wife keeps extra Similase in her purse and first aid kit, because she knows how much it helps and she takes it too!#glutenfree #celiac #dairyfree #vegan #digestivePlease click the >> Helpful << box below if this review helped You!
