Works as well as described
Been watching James Condon's videos for a while, and, I suppose impulse bought this because it ticked the boxes that I have been thinking about and I was impressed with how it performed. Clean sine wave inverter, good capacity, can run in parallel if needed, and for me, dual fuel (propane and gasoline). No natural gas in my area, so I won't use that. Admittedly I haven't put it to much work yet, but I have been running it for break-in on both gasoline and propane. It starts on the second or third pull for me. It does auto-switch between the two fuels as described, stumbling slightly but not stalling out. I did notice the red propane light only partially lighting up when I slowly cracked the propane valve, but when I shut it off, paused, and then opened it quickly, the red light lit up bright. I did the first oil change after 1-1/2 hours of running, and there was some fine glitter in the oil, but nothing that concerns me yet. I'm running 15W-40 in it. Overall, it seems like a good unit, but there are a couple of things worth mentioning. For one, the sticker on the side says 450mL oil, the manual says 0.6L of oil, and I ended up adding 650mL to get halfway up the dipstick. 450mL barely wet the tip of the dipstick. Also, the Phillips-head gas bowl drain screw is blocked by the side support bar. It looks like it'll be tricky to drain the bowl. Update: Not really tricky, but use a flatblade instead, Phillips didn't catch very well. Draining the bowl does get a few teaspoons of gas out. But the unit runs very smooth, is not noisy (I wouldn't say it's quiet, but it's not annoying), it holds voltage and frequency well (~122V at 59.97Hz is what I was seeing with 1000W of load), and the wheeled dolly addition makes it easy to move around. I'm pleased with it so far. I'm feeding it non-ethanol gasoline but am going to invest in a couple more containers of propane for longer term storage. This will be an emergency generator for me. Here in Texas we need all the backup power we can get.

Great little generator
Iโve been really impressed with this generator. The setup was straightforward, it starts reliably, and it provides steady power when needed. Itโs been great for peace of mind during outages and for extra convenience when working outdoors. The best feature of this generator is its ability to switch seamlessly between propane and gasoline; it prioritizes propane usage and automatically switches to gasoline once the propane runs out. That gives me a lot of confidence that it will keep running without me having to constantly monitor it or stop to refuel right away. It also runs smoothly and feels well built. If youโre looking for a dependable backup power option with the flexibility of dual fuel, this is definitely worth considering.

Buy local. This generator is trash.
Avoid this generator! Would not start out of box. No spark to spark plug and the manufacturer phone number on the product itself was out-of-order! This product is also un-returnable to Amazon. This generator is junk. Save your money and grab one locally from a better store.

Tri-fuel does not work as expected on natural gas
Update: after my review, customer service reached out to offer more assistance and offer to make things right. I have to say, Iโm impressed by the customer service and I would purchase from Erayak again. Hence, Iโm giving 4 stars. I bought the tri-fuel version specifically to run on natural gas so I don't have to worry about gasoline or propane cans running out. The package comes with a hose and regulator for propane and it ran fine on propane, but there was nothing in the box for connecting to natural gas. I e-mailed support and they were responsive. They sent me a link for a $55 regulator and hose and told me to use that kit to connect to natural gas. I tried and the generator wouldn't start. I contacted support again and they told me I shouldn't use the regulator they suggested, rather just connect directly to the hose and natural gas line. The generator still didn't run properly. The instructions say to start it in "run" mode when on natural gas, but it doesn't start. It runs only with the dial turned somewhere between "run" and "start" and I could smell natural gas so it didn't seem safe to run it that way given it didn't line up with the printed instructions. After explaining all that to support, they said it's actually designed to be started on gasoline, and then switched over to natural gas. But there's no switch!! So their recommendation is to start on gasoline, then open your natural gas valve, and then have faith that the machine is now running on natural gas instead of gasoline. I guess you'll only know it's not working when you run out of gasoline. That makes no sense to me so I'm sending it back to Amazon.

Initial startup and break in. Plus oil changes.
So far it seems to be working well. I just did the break in last week. Have done 2 oil changes within 10 hours of break in and various loads up to 40%. Engine keeps up and seems smooth. Ran it with a 2400 CFM blower fan 1380 watts then portable AC about 1800 watts plus cycling on and off. This was a good test of capability. I look forward to running it on propane soon. It is more important to do a good break in. Letโs see how it does after a few hundred hours.

best generator I've used.
First off, this generator is really nice. Its compact, its packed up nicely, was double boxed and secured well. I bought a smaller Erayak in the past that I liked which was just enough power for a deep freezer and maybe a fridge, however I have a natural gas line that is hooked up in the back of my house for generator and grill that I used for this generator since its tri-fuel which is a lot easier than having to have gas on hand, as you can see in the picture above with the hose. I got the hose and connectors for mine from amazon for $44 for my gas line from Patiogem, its nice as well. I highly recommend you watching the video on Youtube from James Condon about this generator. He does a good job showing and telling you what you need to do to break it in which is very important, the oil in picture above shows how dirty the oil is after the 1st change and all the metal fragments thats in it. The oil was very hard to find in small containers, I went to 3 different automotive stores in order to the find a store that carries quart size containers of the SAE 15w 40 all of the stores only had gallon size, however if you can't find that specific oil the video I mentioned above he uses a different oil. It took I believe 3 full plastic filler at the 200 line to fill it up properly. The plastic filler came with the generator I used 2 heaters which was my best way in order to get enough wattage to properly break the generator in, I ran it for about a hour before my 1st oil change which you can see how nasty it looks. Overall its a great generator that I highly recommend, I will not be using it often and most of the time I will have it stored... However I am glad how easy it was to get going and how much power it easily ran and most of all I am thrilled I can run it on my natural gas line.

Noise Level
Runs what I bought it to run. I donโt know yet about the switchover from gasoline to LP. The noise level is however more than I was expecting. Iโm not impressed with that aspect of it.

Not Impressed - Yet ... UPDATE - GREAT RUNNING GENERATOR!!!
UPDATE UPDATE: After 6 weeks the Generator is in the Shop at $129/hr!! The โClean Air Elementโ nearly caught fire!! The manual states โSoak Air Clean Element in clean ENGINE OILโ - WTF???? Iโll post an update once I hear back from the Service Center! UPDATE: The original Review is accurate. However, it seems the Generator needed a couple of days to go through that Process (????)... Now? After 3 days, the Generator starts Immediately and Runs Like A Champ - Providing electric for an AC Unit in my Cabin - Cooling it to 69 Degrees!!! Followed directions to the letter... Using Propane... Generator Starts, but then struggles to Run.

Good Generator
This is a decent little generator. Easy to handle and carry around. Powerful to keep my travel trailer running when needed. Looking forward to using it. I recommend it.

Really liking this gen
having the ability to run 2 fuel sources is a game changer running on gas noise level is not bad , running on propane noise level is reduced the run time on gas is better but i find hooking up the propane and running that way cut's down on the fact the with gas you may have a tendancy to spill it . I picked up a 25' 30 amp plug and got a pass through to have power go right into my home as back up power during blackouts mine is not hooked up the the house power but does what i need it to do.

Can't get it to start and no response from customer support
Cannot get it started with either propane or gasoline. Left a message with their customer support 5 days ago and no response. I filed the return form with Amazon and no response from them either. I am taking the position that as it would never start that this generator was not of merchantable quality and therefore under the BC Sale of Goods Act I rescind the sale and require a full refund. I believe all Canadian provinces have a Sale of Goods Act and that cannot be contracted out of regardless of what is said in the description about not returnable.

This small-footprint and lightweight machine delivers amazing power!
This small-footprint machine delivers amazing power! Works perfectly on gas and LP. I have not yet tried it with natural gas. Start with the first pull on gasoline. It did not start on propane (LP) before I added gasoline to the tank. I had to start it on gasoline, then it switched to running on propane after opening the LP bottle valve. I'm not sure if this is a design feature or a fault??

4500 Generator
The generator is one of those items you may not use as soon as you get it. inspecting the unit after arrival it appears nicely designed, and nice features as advertised. However expected it to be ready to use, it requires oil, which was expected but was not supplied. One down side to the design is the side cover, which is screwed on, has to be removed to check the oil, and no screw driver in tool kit. The price seemed reasonable for a dual fuel unit, compared to other brands.
