Seekers: Long Shot (Volume 3) (Star Trek: The Original Series)

Ok, so while it's finally starting to get good, I'm sure there is something missing. I left this book at 92% read back sometime in September and literally forgot about it. I've read the new voyager, and gone back to tos(which I've been against due to no consistent timeline and its great afterall ) and totally.forgot I hadn't finished it. Unfortunately that kind of speaks volumes of this series to me. It's just meh. Time filler between other star trek books, or even the Atlantis legacy books(worth a read for stargate fans). I keep coming back to vanguard because I just have not read it yet. Totally sums.up the story really.

Seekers is getting good;this book really was well written few references to the prequel vanguard series to remind us whet the crew came from not re hashing the whole Taurus reach affair and some good character development and no political rubbish we have been stuck with for the last ten years with the next gen crews.This book was in the true spirit of Star Trek;adventure and exploration.The phasers were only used twice and not to attack or used in some cover op but to defend and take care of some comety.Looking forward to the next book about the Sagittarius crew and I hope the book with the endeavour crew is going to be just as good

Classic trek action.

Great story involving the crew of the USS Sagittarius vs. altered physics, thanks to an energy experiment gone wrong. With the device threatening to destroy a newly discovered planet and its intelligent natives, Capt. Terrell and crew must discover a way to stop it before time runs out. Sounds like a Long Shot to me.....Well written, with a good pace and suspense filled chapters, preventing you from wanting to put your Kindle down. It covers science, action and comedy in one nice package. Will be reading again.Seekers Book 3 is a self contained story (Unlike Seekers 1 & 2)
