Great, Affordable Wireless CarPlay Solution for Drivers
Having an older vehicle that was made at a time there was no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, I needed a reliable, affordable way to get CarPlay in my car. I didn't want to go through the hassle of ripping out my stereo, and this LAMTTO unit was the answer I was looking for!Install was pretty easy. Took me under 10 minutes to mount it and plug it into the 12V outlet. I used the adhesive mount and stuck it to my dash, which held firm even after long drives and bumpy roads.CarPlay connects wirelessly as soon as I turn the car on (give or take 15 seconds). I can start my navigation, take calls, respond to texts, and control music without ever touching my phone. If you’re constantly on the go like I am, this is a huge help. The screen is nice and bright, even in direct sunlight. Touch response is decent—not as snappy as a built-in system, but totally fine for daily use. It did freeze once or twice (I think due to long time direct sun exposure while driving), but overall pretty decent, especially for the price. Nighttime brightness adjustment is not automatic (like cars nowadays) and is based on a time schedule you set. This can get a little annoying when driving from day to night, but its okay considering its value.Audio options are flexible. I ended up using Bluetooth to connect to my car speakers, and the sound quality is what I would expect from this price range.Pros:- Easy to install, no tools or wiring- Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto works smoothly- Bright, readable screen- Bluetooth audio works well for music and calls- Good value for the priceCons:- Boot-up takes 15–20 seconds- Built-in speaker is not the best- May freeze with constant exposure to direct sunlight

Perfect for a 2014 Honda Civic!
For anyone reading: I own a 2014 Honda Civic EX. This device was a blessing! As someone who has wanted CarPlay since I got my car, this was the perfect cheap solution. The sticky tape that it comes with is more than good enough, just make sure that you do the proper surface prep with isopropyl alcohol. It has worked flawlessly so far with no functionality issues. You can also change the boot screen, but that is a little difficult to do. It took be about a day to figure out how to do it right. It turns on fast, connects instantly, and the best part is I can still plug my iPhone 15 into my car’s stereo system for iPod functionality and good audio quality! It also has an auto dimming feature for at night where it will dim at a certain time. The frame rate is a little slow and it is wireless CarPlay only. It doesn’t bother me much tho because it’s not like I’m playing games on it or anything. Overall, I would purchase again. I don’t regret this at all!

Great value, easy as you'd expect it to be
My car is about ten years old and I didn't want to buy a new head unit for it but really hated not having Android Auto after using it in a rental car and my wife's car. I kept thinking about trying one these cheap ones and finally decided to do it at Christmas, and it's really great for the money. I've been using it two months, so this is a fairly long term review.Cons:Auto-dimming doesn't work with Android Auto.Google Maps doesn't go into night mode.Microphone not very sensitive .Built in mount is ugly. So, basically it's either too bright at night or too dim during the day. I tried to find a middle ground since it's hard to adjust the brightness while driving, but it would be almost perfect if Google Maps just went into dark mode at night like it does on my phone. I settled on a setting that's just a little too bright at night and still readable in the sunlight. The voice recognition doesn't pick up very well. Sometimes I feel like I'm yelling "Hey Google" for it to start listening or I just give up and hit the button. It's good once it realizes you are talking, though.I didn't like the included mounts. I bought a pair of magnetic phone mounts and put one on each side of it. It's really solid and looks better in my opinion (see photo)Other than that, it's really a great value. The size is just about right. I might have gone slightly larger, but any smaller would have been too small. The size lines up above the existing stereo (still need to keep visible to see the back up camera).Sound quality is fine using Bluetooth. I thought about using the aux cable, but never tried it. (Need to pair with Bluetooth to use the steering wheel controls anyway.)Some people think the start up screen with the Bugatti is goofy. I read that in reviews before purchasing and thought I'd change, but it only shows up for about one second, so it hasn't seemed worth it. Unless I'm looking directly at it, it's gone by the time I look at the unit.Sometimes the GPS signal is weak if I leave the phone in my pocket. I don't think that's a limitation of the screen, though. For long trips, I'll keep my phone out of my pocket and haven't had any GPS problems in that case.It pairs quickly and consistently with my phone (Pixel 7a).My primary uses are streaming Spotify and for navigation and it works great for those. I would 100% buy again, although I might consider a slightly larger size.Feels like a big car upgrade for a tiny price.
