It is tight fitting construction and the doors close somewhat tight, but there are no gaskets or seals. I would call it rain resistant. Generally should keep things dry in the rain. As for bugs, probably the same: resistant. but bugs being bugs will probably find a way in if there is something attracting them.

Not sealed. If it gets rained on, it should be protected from water on the top but the bottom can't be in standing water. I sprayed the hose around the bottom and a little water splashed under the edge of the doors and I found a lizard in it this weekend. LOL
