I have a cat who has a slight problem. We've done everything we can for her. Unfortunately we know, if we rehomed her, it wouldn't be the best outcome for her. So, she makes "messes" on clothing, bedding & blankets. She can use a litter box but something about her skiddish nature also prevents JUST the litter box. I've had a few items I've struggled to get clean 100%. I figured I would attempt this product. I can confirm, after using a whole bag, it works wonders. Even on my most heavily soiled items she used that were hidden away I couldn't source "Where's that smell coming from?" Now you can follow the instructions given on the packaging. But for heavily soiled & just eye watering, I put the items in a tub in my bathtub, fill them with hot water & let the garments soak for 24 hours. After that soak I drain the tub out, let water flow over the garments, & repeat by filling back up the small tub with hot water, putting in way more of the powder of this product into the tub again. Swirl swirl swirl. Wait 24 hours. Drain. Keeping the garment in the tub, I transfer it to my washer, adding 1 extra scoop of the powder, my normal detergent & wash like normal. I have smelled it several times after washer & I am shocked by it smelling like nothing but my detergent. It removed the stains even on a vintage item I had & was so scared it was ruined, only to turn out better & whiter. Yes, it would be nicer if there was more product for what you buy. But considering I was able to do a large amount of my affected items & finally ran out, I will be buying again due to the actual value this product gives me. It gives back my items life. I did the vinegar & baking soda methods & for the badly affected items, it never worked even after over 5 attempts to clean. This product I could probably get away with a single rinse, but I like to be thorough as my lungs are badly affected by the smell my cat produces. Yes, for those wondering we spoke to her vet & checked out. She simply is a high anxiety, skiddish cat who will sadly never outgrow this issue. Why I am happy to have found a product that actually does what it says & it has been safe not only for my normal clothing, but even my vintage clothing items that she likes to drag & use. & before anyone says "Why wasn't those vintage pieces safely put away?!" They were. She is somehow a rogue. I don't know how she accomplishes the things she does. I didn't use any of my detergent I do for washing with my vintage pieces & there is no real scent from this product. I personally enjoy that because clothing does not need to be saturated in perfumes. This allows a neutral scent without any concerns. 10/10 Recommend & if you have heavily, HEAVILY soiled items, please refer to what I stated as an idea to get the best results. If you wanted to count scoops used for my 24 + 24 hour soaks, I use over 10 scoops per 24 hours because I'm paranoid & don't want to risk the item to still smell. Thank you for having such a true amazing product. Again, wish it was slightly more for the money, but I won't complain that it gets the job done & removed the stains from cat pee excellently! I will be ordering more!!

This product has honestly been life saving. We are in the trenches of senior doghood and have been so overwhelmed with accidents. The constant washing and rewashing isn't fun but this stuff worked the first time and I haven't had to rewash a single thing. It completely removed the urine scent out of blankets and rugs we washed. And even tackled poop soiled kennel items. Seriously, game changer for us.

So cleaning up her urine is a slight hassle right now. I bought this to get the urine smell out of the towels and rugs that she's urinated on. This detergent worked so good. I got some washable pee pads for my dog, as she can’t hold her bladder well. I used to have to wash them twice on the sanitize cycle to get them clean. Now with this detergent I only have to do it once! They smell so clean! I put two scoops into my washer drum and set the detergent dispenser on less mode. I used Kirkland Clean&free liquid. This combined the detergents and made it a cleaning powerhouse! So happy to save time, water, and money!

I am pleased that this laundry detergent does remove pet odors. We have a new puppy and so we do have accidents on rugs etc. After cleaning rugs and rags there is no more odor. And you don't have to use much so bag will last quite a few loads.

This is the ONLY detergent I have used that has ACTUALLY gotten the pet smell out of things! We foster dogs, so you can imagine we do a ton of pet laundry. We've been spending a ton of time on the daybed in our sunroom lately, and it was starting to smell like dogs, more than usual. I tried washing everything with my regular detergent, but it wasn't doing the job. I purchased this (having bought their activewear detergent in the past and LOVED it as well) and MY GOD, this has been the best purchase I have ever made! Not only did my laundry come out feeling SO clean, it completely got rid of all the dog smell. I also tried it on a towel that notoriously smelled like cat pee from my cat who decided to rebel against her litter box, and that towel smells like new!! So all in all, this is a phenomenal product. About to do so many loads of laundry to make my house smell completely fresh again!

My 48 lb, 14 yr old dog has to wear a belly band every night. I've been washing them by hand and then running them through my washing machine but they still stink. I've tried several of the "best" odor eliminators, but they just do not work well enough. After 11 months of this the only odor my nose could recognize was urine, so I tried yet another product, and it worked! Active Pet Laundry truly eliminated the odor! I cannot speak for how it works, or even if it's recommended, for an accident on carpeting, but every single item I've washed in the machine with it has come out without any odor at all. No perfume, no chemicals, no urine! Excellent product!

I wish I had found this sooner. I have several resident pets and always have at least a few foster animals, but an odor free home is incredibly important to me. This stuff can tackle even the most severe odors (think a litter of puppies who had a potty party in their pen overnight). I cannot say enough good things about this stuff. 100/10. Knocks smells out, leaves bedding stain free, and scent free.

I got this because my youngest son (feline) has a bit of an attitude problem sometimes. Most recently, taking it out on my partner’s jacket. When I washed it normally, the smell still remained. He doesn’t normally target clothing, so admittedly I don’t know the best method to wash something that’s not immediately disposable. I found this cleaner and was a bit hesitant about the price, but I can confirm that it’s 100% worth. I washed the jacket on its own in COLD water, with one scoop of this (no laundry soap) as directed on the package. After the first wash I couldn’t smell anything at all. For good measure though, I ran it through a second time just to be sure. The smell is completely out; I can’t identify a single trace (and the jacket had been sitting for a while, while I researched and waffled over spending $30 on specialized detergent). This is now a product I will keep on-hand at all times. I completely and totally recommend this anyone with tricky kitties.

This is so good 😊 I use simple solutions extreme for spots my semi-stray sprays and it works fine but for bedding this stuff is the one. I had my boy neutered and he came back from the vets damp 😒 (not a great vet) and immediately rested on the throw I laid out for him. I used my simple solutions on the throw underneath (the “mattress” throw) - which didn’t smell so strong - and put it in the wash as normal after it had dried (24hrs later) but I swear I could still catch a whiff of that boyish musk on the air while it dried out of the wash. For the bedding he’d laid directly on I waited for this then used a scoop in the wash with my normal detergent - no smell of boy cat at all! And it looks brighter, really clean. You only need a little scoop so it should last a long time, though initially I was a little unhappy about the price. Now I think it’s well worth it.

Really does work amazingly well. Super impressed with it & also use it to clean my wetsuits.

Absolute lifesaver. I have a cat with IBD, so poop accidents are very common, this is the only laundry detergent that gets smells out 100% of the time. I don't use the subscriptions on amazon for much, but this stuff is a must. Love love love
