My only minor niggle with this was the packing where jammed into its box the rubbers on the handrails were permanently marked and dented. Might not bother some but it did me-a fussy 80 year old. Otherwise this is a strong, solid and stable step ladder. An excellent product, well worth the money. I reject criticisms about being too heavy-if you want a light, flimsy aluminium variety then go for that. This is not a heavy set of steps! The wide and deep treads make for comfortable working and safety. The steps fold flat for compact and easy storage.

I decided to buy this 4 step ladder as I was struggling on a small two step with no hand rails. The handrails made me feel secure and I wish I'd have bought this years ago. I am a seventy year old lady who has metalwork in my spine and two titanium knees. Obviously my legs don't work like a teenager's. The height of the step was important to me as I can't lift my knees any higher than about 10 inches. Once up the ladder, I was confident that I wouldn't fall and I managed to clean all my windows with ease. The top rail I found very useful to pull myself up to the top step.The ladder is not lightweight in my opinion. I think 11.5kilo. I found it a little heavy for me but I "walked" it one leg at a time which was ideal. The weight would be my only gripe, but that weight only goes to show how well made and safe the ladder is. Highly recommend to all, even little old ladies with false knees!

I am 76 and fell off my old wooden steps last year. So glad to get rid of them. These new steps are brilliant, bit heavy but so sturdy, feel so safe even on the top step. It is quite good overall, stable, and the side railings and platform on top make it a safer choice.On the downside, these are a bit heavy and take a fair bit of space.My daughter loves to use these as a high chair.Price is lower than that some similar models with lesser emphasis on safety, good value for money.A clear "buy" if you are not so tight on storage space.

Really good, sturdy stepladder. At last no more trying to balance on tiny rungs that cut into your feet. Felt really secure and safe using this to trim my garden jasmine over the kitchen window. Wish I had bought this years ago. Good value for the money paid.

I would say, not lightweight when lifting, however, it feels strong and well made, and inspires confidence when working at height aided by the side hand rails and top rail, which will need to be assembled before first use, treads are wide and deep and have rubber non slip surface, l consider it great value, and certainly preferable to balancing on a chair or a table, buy one, you wont regret it.

The ladders went together easily and quickly. They are sturdy and solid and the side handles increase the safety when using them. I am a disabled person and have used these already with great results. I highly recommend this product.

Absolutely delighted with these steps.They are sturdy,well balanced and I feel very confident when climbing up now.The safety rails are are a bit fiddly to fit on,perhaps the manufactures could apply the same fittings to the safety rails as they have on the top rail.I would recommend these step to anyone .
