I have type 2b hair. Slight wavy hair that is super dry , frizzy n damaged after years of chemical treatment. I was in search of a product that would just soften my hair, reduce the frizziness n improve the quality of my hair. This mask is the best thing I could have found for my hair. This is indeed a very good product. I also use Shea Moisture shampoo. I apply the mask on dry hair. Keep for an hour n then rinse it thoroughly with water. after rinsing it with water, I wrap my hair in an old ratty tee and then use a broad tooth comb. I apply little hair serum when the hair is half dry. Naturally dry. I don't use any blow dryer. I have been using this hair mask once a week, sometimes even twice. i love how my hair is now soft and silky.

I have followed the curly girl method for a year but I had never used protein treatments. Hence, my curls became lifeless and didn't even seem curly anymore. But clarifying my hair with a sulfate based shampoo and this deep conditioner has restored my hair to its previous glory.

I have 3b curly hair and use this mask whenever my curls feel like they're losing and unable to hold shape. This mask helps to increase the elasticity of the hair and makes them spring right back. However, this can make hair feel dry and brittle, so I make sure to follow up with a moisturising mask.

Its high on protein. So fail to my protein sensitive hair. Otherwise great for curly hair deep condition. Good slip and great smell.

Works great in your cg routine. Leaves hair, soft, improves curl pattern. Apply in a vertical motion along strands of hair and smooth out the frizz massaging the product into your hair.

It's an amazing amazing product. It smells so good and the smell lasts a long time. Breakage is less as mine is curly hair, and controls hair fall to an extent as there is no breakage.

I heard a lot of good things about the SheaMoisture brand and also about this product in particular. I typically use the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In as my deep conditioner and I love it but I was running low and thought I'd give this a try and it was well worth the money! It smells AMAZING. It smells like peppermint and shea so even though it says castor oil don't worry about an unappealing scent. Coconut Oil is the third ingredient which is nice because a lot of products say they contain this and that but it's usually low on the ingredients list which indicates not a lot of it is actually in the product. It also has shea butter, avocado oil, mango seed butter, olive fruit oil, peppermint leaf extract and castor seed oil. I have long relaxed hair and I shampoo my hair twice, rinsing with warm water each time and then I blot away the excess water when I'm done with a 100% cotton t-shirt then apply a thick even coating of the deep conditioner to my hair starting at the ends, then my hairline, then my roots, making sure all of my hair is covered. Then I put my hair in a plastic disposable shower cap and leave it on for an hour with no heat then I rinse it out with warm water. I typically follow up my deep conditioner with the matching conditioner to my shampoo, leave that on for 5 mins then rinse but I find with this deep conditioner it's not necessary. I apply my leave-in spray, a tiny bit of coconut oil then a leave-in cream to seal and roller set my hair because I don't like using heat. The next morning when my hair is dry I take the rollers out and my hair is super soft and bouncy and full of volume. My ends feel revived and my hair is silky. I will say it doesn't make my hair shiny, but I moisturize my scalp with a mixture of 1/2 coconut oil and 1/2 castor oil and brush it out with a paddle brush and shine is restored. I also recommend this if you have relaxed hair because it helps to soften new growth. I will most definitely be repurchasing this!

Bought this for my daughter cause her curls were tight, dry and knotty. This works wonders to soften her hair and add moisture.
