If it does close completely, I haven't noticed this feature yet. In the wrong (child) hands, I foresee many parts of this piano not holding up. (I have 5 kids under 8 years old). Therefore, this will be hung from the very top of the tree! None of these "cons" is so bad that I would lower my rating though.

This is a wonderful ornament! It is very lightweight but well-built. PROS: It is shiny, and the details make it beautiful. I love that I can lift or lower the fall board. The lid can be adjusted. The strings are a nice touch as well. CONS: The hook that connects the ornament string needed to be tightened, but no big deal. The lid does not close all the way, but instead props open. If it does close completely, I haven't noticed this feature yet. In the wrong (child) hands, I foresee many parts of this piano not holding up. (I have 5 kids under 8 years old). Therefore, this will be hung from the very top of the tree! None of these "cons" is so bad that I would lower my rating though.
