Mcoplus - MCO-14EXT Macro TTL ring flash for NIKON i-TTL with LED AF assist lamp

For the price, I reckon you will struggle to get a better ringlight. I am using this on my Nkion D810 and it is fab. I can't get it to TTL meter very well, at all in fact, but to be honest, I'm not at all bothered by this. I use it in manual mode anyway and I am getting great results. The build quality seem really good (again, considering the price point) and the charge time is very quick. It was very easy to figure out how to use the unit without resorting to the manual and you get a range of adapters to cover any lens size (at least that I own).

Worked fine initially, although got through batteries very quickly. I've had mine around 6 months and recently the batteries (good brand, normal AA batteries) have corroded inside it and now it doesn't work at all :(

Excellent ring flash, It is made of plastic but its well built, I use this for macro photography only It has TTL and manual mode. In TTL mode it over exposes a little so you have to choke it down a bit which is easy to do. I read on the product details (not Mcoplus description) that this had a Max Sync Speed:1/320s this is not true it only has a sync speed of 1/200s which I was disappointed about, hence only the 4 points. Arrived within 2 days. Good service, good product and good price would recommend

It does what it should BUT it is a Mieke product with Mcplus and Skyblue labels stuck onto the bottom of the box. Why is important? Because the Mieke product is also available from Amazon but listed as Mieke, and at a lower price than Mcoplus/Skyblue item. As mentioned, it does what it should and feels well made, but I suggest you look at all the products available in this category before purchasing.

I have been using a ring flash for macro photography for a couple of years now but was forced to look for a new one as the one already owned did not have an attachment for my new 150mm Sigma macro lens. I am so glad I made this purchase, my other ring flash was mostly used with my Tamron SP 90mm macro lens (a great lens) and I have taken many good pictures with it but it only when I compare the pictures taken with my old ring flash to this one that I see just how much of a difference it makes. The difference is stunning. I have taken a number of test shots with the original setup (Nikon D7000, Tamron 90mm lens) to compare the difference this ring flash makes and I am very surprised and pleased at by the results. My old ring flash was the Marumi DRF14, it cost more and is in my opinion does not come close to the performance of this flash. One very small niggle with this one, be prepared to go through quite a few batteries (or buy rechargeables) with this flash. All in all a great piece of kit and well worth the price paid on Amazon, buy it.

Have just received the flash and must say my initial reactions are very favourable. It seems fairly robust and well made and easy to adjust. For me its big selling point is the TTL capability. I did look at the equivalent Nikon flash but for something which I will only use occasionally I could not justify the cost. In fact I am baffled as to why dedicated Nikon flashes are so expensive. This flash will do all I want at a fraction of the cost. The only criticism I would have is with the manual. While most of the flash's functions are fairly intuitive the manual is dreadful and much of it does not make any sense at all. Whoever translated the Chinese version has a very limited and idiosyncratic grasp of the English language. I don't know how much it would have cost to have an English speaker write the manual but it would have been money well spent. A manual as bad as this just gives a bad impression of a very well designed and made piece of equipment.

This is an amazing piece of kit that has helped me improve my Macro photographer no ends. The flash itself is a little to bright at times but as soon as I workout how to step down the flash brightness its an essential piece of my kit. Sturdy and very well made, cant really find any faults with it.

Superb ring flash and excellent value for money. This flash is well made and performs brilliantly at a fraction of the cost of the genuine Nikon article.

È da pochi giorni che ho ricevuto questo flash e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto. Qualità dei materiali è ottima buona plstica e nessuna fessura di accppiamenti ne giochi Funziona con la mia d90 sia in ittl che in manuale . Numero guida 14 che per un flash anulare non è poco ha la possibilità di regolare la potenza del lampo sia per ogni parabola sia totale,ha il preflash e praticamente tutte le regolazioni dei flash di rango (e costo) superiore. Ho provato a fare qualche scatto in casa visto il brutto tempo, e devo dire che funziona alla grande. Ottimo per quello che costa. Consigliato.

mi experiencia con este flash no ha sido nada buena, lo he recibido le he puesto pilas y no funciona, he abierto dos paquetes de pilas hasta darme cuenta que el problema esta en el flash, el interruptor de encendido no funciona, si lo retienes poco antes o después de su posición de reposo empieza a cargar, si no, no enciende. supongo que me habrá tocado el 1 entre 1000000 pero me ha tocado a mi, se supone que un producto nuevo recién salido de fabrica no puede llegar en ente estado a un cliente. por lo demás los accesorios parecen adecuados para lo que se supone que es, no he podido probar mas, en teoría debía haber sido una buena compra por ese precio y esas funciones pero en fin. lo devuelvo.

Il a fallu se battre pour l'obtenir car par la voie classique c'était impossible et donc, l'article est revenu de Grande Bretagne. Les frais d'envoi s'en ressentent malheureusement, car la poste anglaise a fort tendance à exagérer dans se tarifs. Je le dis par expérience! J'ai apprécié la démarche du vendeur qui a proposé un autre lien pour passer cette commande, et il a fonctionné (après quelques tâtonnements, il est vrai)

In de twee weken dat ik dat ik de flitser gebruikte deed hij precies wat ik wilde: flitsen als ik een foto maakte. Toen ik hem een paar weken later weer wilde gebruiken bleek dat hij niet meer flitste. Totaal niet. Contact met de verkoper was niet meer dan de suggestie van hem dat ik de batterijen er in had laten zitten wanneer ik hem een tijdje niet gebruikte, wat niet waar is. Dat heb ik aangegeven maar daarna heeft de verkoper niet meer gereageerd. Inmiddels heb ik hoop dat Amazon hierin bemiddeld, dat heb ik ook gevraagd maar daar wacht ik nog op. Voorlopig ben ik mijn geld kwijt aan iets dat waardeloos is.

Flash anulare onesto che svolge decentemente il suo lavoro. Ottimo come rapporto qualità prezzo, può dare grosse soddisfazioni nelle mani di un fotografo pratico di macrofotografia. La luce principale (per fortuna) non è LED ed è dotato di due illuminatori led ausiliari che aiutano nella messa a fuoco. l'i-TTL è migliorabile, ma è uno dei pochi modelli che almeno ce l'ha. Permette di regolare indipendentemente le due parabole con un buon range di rapporti. Ha il classico numero guida 14, tipico dei flash anulari. Le batterie durano meno di quanto dichiarato.
