The pickles are amazing if delivered fresh and YELLOW and firm. My last order the package contained radish pickles but the color was off. THE PICKLES WERE TAN COLOR AND VERY SOFT. HOPE NEXT TWO TOMORROW WILL BE GREAT

It was old. There was no crunchiness at all. And very brown instead of yellow like on photos and Taste was awful! I was very disappointed. I purchased this product before and it was really good and that’s why I bought it again but this probably the last time I’ll order.

I recently took a cooking class in Seoul, South Korea and one of the items we made was kimbap, which is made up of rice, veggies, egg and pickled radish. When I got back home to the US, I wanted to make kimbap for my family, but I could only find pickled radish in slices and it just wasn't the same. Even when I layered several slices, the flavor was diluted overall, so I was thrilled to find that Shirakiku offers picked radish in full sized pieces. I also found the quality to be better than the brand I was buying. The price was more reasonable as well. I will definitely continue to purchase this product in the future.

I was excited to splurge on this as it was my favorite snack while living in South Korea. However, it left me very disappointed (especially for the price and time it took to be delivered after ordering it). I don't know if it was the fault of the shipping company or not as it clearly states to keep refrigerated. But it was shipped on Sunday and I didn't get it until Wednesday not only unrefrigerated, but also very warm as it is summer. The texture is rubbery almost to the point of being like a bad pickle whereas it should be crisp with a slight snap/crack when biting into it. It's also not as strong flavored as the ones in South Korea (even the convenience store ones), and again I'm not sure if it's the product or how it was delivered to me. I was hoping for a small taste of home with my gimbap, but I guess I'll have to try to find diakon radish and make my own next time. 😭

I have ordered this product several times and have been generally been satisfied with the taste and texture. However this shipment is close to disgusting. The color is not the usual yellow but almost gold, brown and darker inside with a rancid smell. I immediately refrigerate this product when received. It was not left outside once delivered. However it looks to be either old (expiration date is July 2024) not stored properly or both. The texture should be crunchy and somewhat crisp…which this one is almost mushy. I am not sure if this order came from the same vendor as the other ones I received. That may be a reason for the difference in quality. Very disappointed.
