This is my second one and same thing happened to me where I could not open it.. air tight so hard that I had to use tools that I didn’t have. Is it because the oil is too hot when sealing?

It came packaged up great. So that means it was assembled wrong! One of the lid hold downs clips is under the fastener so the clip can never reach the lid edge. It has to be bent to allow the fastener down and then bent back into place work as a latch. Otherwise I can’t see anything wrong with the grease tank. I can’t tell if the handle was supposed to be installed or not but it was only partially installed and the bolt washer and nut were rolling around in the box. The two handles on the sides are good and they are off to the left side of the one large handle. I wouldn’t be picking this tank up by the one handle. A full tank of hot grease might bust it. There are four square pieces on the bottom of the tank. I guess there is a trolley that mounts to the bottom of the tank. I didn’t need it and didn’t see one to add to the purchase. Better check for it if you need one, because this tank will not sit or move easily without it once full. Its size is 15” diameter, 15” tall, and its circumference is about 24”. Smooth on the inside, powder coat was even and smooth, can’t tell the quality of the steel but it seems functional and with any large pot cleaning won’t be too hard but not too easy ether.
