CANSON Infinity Platine Fibre Rag Ultra Smooth Glossy 310gsm A3 Paper, Digital Darkroom Papers, 25 Pure White Sheets, Ideal for Professional Photographers

I am a big fan of Canson papers, having used them for many years. This does not disappoint. It is not cheap for A2 (I bought A2 and A4 - A4 for printer profiling as it's cheaper to use several sheets of A4), but if you are looking for a premium quality, matt cotton rag with a wonderful texture, this is a very beautiful paper. The texture really adds to the work I am trying to print when mounted on the wall (clearly this depends on the lighting). Colours print on this very well, nicely saturated and vibrant. I had issues with the corners with the A2 box, but ordered a replacement. Be prepared to have to use this paper differently if you're using the epson surecolour p800, you need to print this using the manual sheet feeder, as it is quite thick. You set this as velvet fine art paper, which the print dialogue will recommend you use the manual sheet feeder instead of the rear tray. You can still print using the rear tray, as I tried for convenience(again, good to have A4 for these kind of experiments), but you run the risk of it collecting ink debris from previous prints, which can be picked up on the paper before it reaches the print heads so when you remove the debris, you are left with a small white dot as the ink was printed on the debris instead of the paper. Excellent cotton paper, if not a little more difficult to work with than usual given the thickness (amazing thickness, I should add). I'd recommend either requesting a sample set from Canson or buying the sample A4 set of canson papers before choosing what you want, as they have other papers with a similar texture but lower gsm and overall thickness (which also means lower price). They have two A4 sample packs sold here on Amazon if you're unable to request a free sample mini booklet.

Quality and Value

I took a risk in splashing out on more expensive paper to print my art prints on and I wasn't disappointed. The paper is a lovely quality with a subtly textured finish that is cotton-like to the touch and my designs have printed beautifully on it. I did have to play around with the colours and sacrifice one sheet of the paper to do thumbnail tests until I was happy with the colours but I think that's more to do with the settings on my computer/printer than the paper as I'm not very technical in that regard! I will say that the paper isn't pure white, it's more of a cream or off-white. I didn't mind that as most of my designs lend themselves to that background but it's something to bear in mind if you're hoping for a brilliant white paper. I found the videos on Canson's own website really useful for helping me decide which paper type was right for me, they have a lot to choose from but the videos are detailed and very informative. Overall, I'm very happy and will use again but only for special projects or for re-sale due to the price.

People love the pictures printed on it

I used these for prints which I sell and find the quality to be amazing. The paper is like card to hold and produces amazing colours but do use ICC with your printer to get the best results. The item arrived fully sealed and well packed. I would recommend this paper for high quality prints.

Really pleased with product. Needed for funeral Order of Service, so particularly didn't want anything with a "watermark" on the back. This doesn't have a watermark. My printer is an HP Officejet 7610 which is supposed to max out at 180gsm - this is 270gsm, but it handled it without any issues. No bleeds, crisp black and importantly for me, didn't "crack" when folded into A5 booklet. Only downside - you cannot print on the back - whilst it didn't bleed, ink didn't set 100%, so couldn't risk it on the print run. If they made this in a double-sided print version, I'd by it in a flash. In any event, would recommend and buy again.

Fantastic paper, deep blacks, excellent contrast and colour, with very subtle sheen, a perfect alternative to a matt paper when your looking for a gentle punch to an image; definitely worth trying for yourself.

Be sure to download and install the ICC profile from their website in order to get expected results. The paper is extremely flat and the lack of stipple means the ink is able to resolve incredible clarity. These were from 100mp camera and printed on a HP 9000 printer. Very pleased with the result and the cost.

Canson tillhör tillsammans med Hahnemulle en av dom främsta större fotopapperstillverkarna, andra är ju naturligtvis också Epson och Ilford om man vill hålla sig till den dyrare skalan. Detta fotopapper i bomull (Rag=bomull) är bland det vitaste oblekta bomullspapper jag någonsin sett. Det är enkelsidigt. baksidan är svagt texturerad medan framsidan är helt jämt. Bilderna blir otroligt klara, med rena fina, djupa samt intensiva färger. Färgerna blöder överhuvudtaget inte ut åt sidorna. Svärtan är bland det bästa jag överhuvudtaget sett utan att man ska betala skjortan för pappret. Är det en sak man ska klaga på så är det att Amazon inte tycks lära sig att förpacka fina papper så att dom klarar posthanteringen utan att bli skadade. i 50 % av fallen när jag beställer papper från Amazon så är papprena skadade på ett eller annat sätt. I detta fallet var det bara 2 papper som fått hundöron, men jag kan använda de skadade papprena ändå. Å andra sidan så skickar ju amazon nya papper direkt om man reklamerar varan. Åter till Canson pappret: Jag använder dom i en canon TS8351 och jag är 100 % nöjd med utskrifterna. Enkelt 5 stjärnor till detta papper.
