This is quite dance based, but there are two options, one for beginners/intermediate and another for advanced, whichever you choose they both provide a good cardio workout. Where these are head and shoulders over the likes of Davina's DVDs is in the routines. As you're going to have to learn and perfect them they don't get dull, and you feel a real sense of achievement as you improve. You have to stick with these to improve, but they aren't so tough you can't pick them up fairly quickly, and you don't need to be a professional dancer to grasp the moves (they might not look quite as impressive as the girls in this DVD, but my 'ripples' are definitely getting better!). The toning and abs sections are also excellent and sure to whip you into shape. The soundtrack is fantastic as always, there is no better music for working out. Maybe the best 'Pump it up' so far, certainly the most fun. ### ⭐⭐⭐ If you're a Deanne Berry devotee you will be disappointed *by R***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2010* I bought this after enjoying the Pump it up workouts led by Deanne Berry. I am a Berry convert and a Davina fan, by and large. This Pump it up is a different animal and I thought that I would give it the benefit of the doubt. This DVD has many positives and the negatives are due to my personal preferences rather than anything technically bad.This routine is more dance than aerobics led and I mean dance due to the heavy choreography. The warm up is very manageable but the later workout is very difficult to follow if you lack a natural dance aptitude. The cueing is excellent and thorough: the moves are explained clearly but when it comes to co-ordinating the moves with the high energy music it is easy to become unstuck. Admittedly, I have only tried this once and I could only just master the footwork. When I tried co-ordinating the arm movements with the footwork I ended up flailing about like an idiot. I think that this workout will get easier with time, if you are committed, but I reckon it is too easy to be disheartened.I didn't work up much of a sweat mainly because I could not keep up with routine and perform it with the gusto it deserves.The comprehensive Abs section is more challenging than other MoS DVDs. Ditto the stretches performed before and after the workout. My main quibble is that you can't custom build a workout and you have to run through the whole thing but I guess this is a minor detail.Ultimately, this workout, in my opinion, is not as fun and far more complex than the Deanne Berry workouts. It will suit people who are interested in and have a natural aptitude for dance. It won't replace my favourites but I will possibly have another go in the future. If you fancy a challenge go for it but if you have limited co-ordination then you may want to think twice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best fitness DVD I've ever owned *by L***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2013* Om pretty fit and have a good selection of workout dvds,mainly celebrity ones (Davina,Nell McAndrew) However I was getting board as they all follow a similar form.I went with this one as it was cheap and fancied something different.When I first started,I hated it as I didn't understand the moves and was getting frustrated not being able to master the moves.Two months on I love it!
