Surprisingly effective
I bought this as last ditch attempt to clear the printhead on my ol Canon i70. The printer had been languishing unused in a cupboard for at least 6 years, with cartridges installed. Not surprisingly the deep clean programme on printer managementdid nothing to unblock the printer head. I tried this and EVENTUALLY it worked. I had to keep re-applying to the worst head, over a period of week. The trickiest bit was to get the plastic tube to fit securely to the print head nozzle. This was essential in my case, as the nozzle was so badly clogged I had to force the fluid (gently) into the head using the syringe. Leaving a slight gap, as per the instructions, proved useless, as the dried ink prevented any fluid getting into the print head. After a few days, with apprently still little success I used the syring to suck loosened debris from the nozzle before injecting more fluid in. Now the printhead is as new with perfect alignment and nozzle pattern. Good rich colours even when printing photos. What isn't clear from the instructions is that you need to remove the needle from the syringe in order to force the fluid into the head, or suck out the debris. This is a highly effectice bit of kit which saved my printer.

Did the job Brilliantly
I was not expecting too much when I ordered this as the print heads had been blocked on the printer for nearly twelve months. I had tried most other things that had been recommended on the internet and thought that for the price against the price of a new quality printer I might as well give it a try. I followed the instructions to the letter and left everything overnight but no improvement when I did half a dozen test runs. I followed the instructions and did the procedure another three times over the following week but did not do any test runs until after the final soak. I must just add that this was on a pigment ink printer (Epson Stylus Photo R2880) that had been left without printing while we went on a long holiday and when we came back two of the heads were completely blocked and not printing anything at all. After the week of soaking overnight I put some new ink cartridges in and did a couple of tests and you could see a few lines starting to appear. I had seen on some reviews on you tube that a couple of professional had advised no to clean the heads too many times so I did one head clean and that showed a few more lines on the next nozzle check so then went ahead and started doing some test prints. Lo and behold after about 3 or 4 test prints everything was back to producing excellent photographs once more. My wife is now overjoyed that she can start printing her A3 photographs once more on what we thought was going to be a scrapped printer. It pays to persist.

Great for smaller clogs. Easy to use.
It is nice and easy to use. Instructions are clear. It did not work for me in fully unblocking a print head. I tried multiple times for different times, and while it did help a little, it still dried back up quickly. My printer was quite old though, so I wouldn't knock the cleaner too hard. It's not capable of a miracle.

Didn't work for me.....
Bought a new printer rather than paying more money for products that may or may work

Took a partially clogged print head and destroyed it.
Ordered this product due to having a partially clogged print heads on my Epson printer which I couldn't clear with the printers built in program. Decided to clean all 4 jets whilst I was at it. Ran the product through as per the instructions and left it to dry, ran a test the following morning to find all colours were now partially clogged. Tried another run through as at this point I figured it couldn't get much worse, after leaving the printer for a while I tried again to find all four colours now completely blocked. As a last ditch effort I removed the print head from my printer to try and give it a thorough clean, following the suggestion to try and draw air up through the print head. What I've now ended up doing is spending £11 for the privilege of killing my printer, not impressed to say the least.

Very efficient piece of kit
This piece of kit has saved me the price of a new printer! I am very please with it. It was so easy to use. It was delivered on time and I immediately started to clean the jets. To clean all the jets took about half an hour. Its important to follow the instruction as you could flood the unit and besides it would waste the cleaning fluid. One tip for anyone about to do the same with their printer, a tip to remember: Make sure that you have plenty of kitchen roll handy as the ink will come through the jets and cause a mess! To clean all four jets used about 8ml of liquid out of a 100ml bottle; good value. I can thoroughly recommend this product. A good buy!

Well worth the risk.
My old basic Brother printer has been a donkey - it has worked hard for about eight years and I was very attached to it. The colour yellow stopped working properly. I recognised that the printer did not owe me anything but, having watched a couple of videos, I thought it worth the investment to buy this kit to see if I could unblock it.. If it hadn't worked, the loss was small, and if it did, I'd have my lovely old, economical printer back. The instructions with the kit were adequate and the quantity of solvent was plenty. I didn't find the solvent offensive to smell, or particularly harsh only hands, although i tried to avoid as much skin contact as possible. The process was a bit tedious - perseverance was required. BUT IT HAS WORKED. My old printer is as good as new. So, in conclusion, the kit is first class. The process is tedious. Worth doing if you have time and inclination, but if you value your time highly, probably best to buy a new printer.
