Barbie Fashionistas Doll 89, XOXO

Yes, she is taller than the average Barbie, but she's very pretty! I love everything about her, but when I took her out of the box, she did have some "boxed hair" going on. Although, it was nothing too severe; just crinkles at the end of her hair, but that was fixed by dipping her hair in hot water. The hot water straightens the ends beautifully with no problems. Because her hair was already straight, so I had no curls to worry about. In the meantime, I did order a pair of black leggings on Ebay. Because her dress or what looks like a "long shirt" was too short for her height. The black leggings looks very nice and goes perfectly with her outfit. Overall, she's very stunning and I am excited to add her to my Afro-American Fashionistas dolls collections!

She is such a beauty in my huge collection. I like this face mold, but this incarnation is the greatest in my opinion. I was planning to put her on a Made to Move body, but her skin tone isn't an exact match of any of them, unfortunately. She is darker and tanner than Made to Move AA soccer player and lighter than Made to Move Yellow Top.

It has has a Very Pretty face. It was to be a gift for my Vietnamese/American grandaughter who is only 6 years old. I am unhappy that this doll does not come with a complete outfit including panties and therefore is not appropriately dressed to present to a little girl.

Beautiful and unique doll. Mattel has really made some amazing changes in the last few years. I am not happy however with other sellers price gauging on these dolls that retail for $7.47 I would purchase again if the price wasn't to steep.

Her clothing and shoes are awesome and color compliments her skin tone, she has very pretty eyes and amazing soft hair, a definite must have!

Package was crushed so it made it hard to gift but I didnt have time to return.

This doll is drop dead gorgeous. There really isn't anything I don't like about the doll. One complaint is that I wish Tall Barbies could wear the high heels that fit the original body dolls can.

Die Barbie an sich ist außergewöhnlich! Ihr Gesicht und ihre Haarlänge sind etwas anders ausgefallen als auf dem Bild (sie hat einen stufenschnitt und ein weniger asiatisches Gesicht) allerdings ist sie bemerkenswert groß und die Schuhe gefallen mir sehr gut. Die Kapuze hat zwei Löcher- durch eines soll man die Haare stecken- finde ich zwar etwas unnötig, aber ist halt das Design. Ansonsten wie gesagt, eine schöne Barbie.

When I saw this doll--Fashionista #89 [Tall] Red Hood aka 'XOXO'--I was instantly drawn to her. It took awhile to realise that this Tall doll had the same Asha face sculpt that drew me instantly to Made-to-Move Yellow Top and Fashionista #16 Glam Team (aqua & white 84 sporty shirt-dress). The nose and lips of the Asha face sculpt--originally created in 1990 for an African-American doll named 'Asha'--are usually associated with African features. But this doll's facial sister, Fashionista #16, a pale-skinned redhead proves this adorable sculpt works across races. Unusually, she has narrow painted eyes--see also Fashionista #53 [Tall] Lavender Petals--which make her face seem just that touch more realistically proportionate and interesting. Gone are those 1990s bug eyes or even the large eyes commonly used today. I also appreciate her nearly nude lipstick and subtle makeup. Although I'm sure kids will love combing her straight hair--reminiscent of a certain American-English Duchess & Princess ;-) --personally I would have loved an afro, cornrow, braids, or dreadlocks. We need to be ending these 'good hair' ( = [usually processed or purchased] straight long hair) vs 'bad hair' ( = natural kinky African hair) views--in both the doll and real worlds.

J'aime beaucoup la game fashionista car les poupée à morphologie et type différent ça représente plus la réalité mes filles leurs trouvé des resemblence avec leurs copine du coûp les barbie hérité du prénom de la copine.
