Very capable router. I have been using this router with both ethernet connections and over wifi and the speed is incredible. We can get our full speed over 1Gbps on wifi as well as over ethernet. The router is easy to setup through the Asus app and has a suite with many features that can be handy to an average user or more professional. It is although quite a big router and takes up a fair amount of space.

The latest in a family of Asus xx8x routers we have had as our main home router. While having WiFi 7 is nice (for the future) the latest versions of asuswrt (especially with Merlin's magic sauce) and the phenomenal built in switch, mad this a must buy for us.

The perfect upgrade if you are thinking of upgrading from an ageing, but solid router that is the RT-AC88U. The faster internals and ports have increased any wired network throughput tenfold and is truly futureproof with the 10G WAN.

I never opened it to use it as I got a better deal from Currys. But I will say that this router is possibly the best that I've ever bought and I've had a few. It's got twice as many Ethernet ports as a normal router and was very easy to set up. Signal strength is excellent as is functionality and quality.

This router is completely incompatible with virgin media hub 5 right now with current firmware. You'll see constant drops of connectivity, it may be anywhere from a few seconds to over a minute. Terrible reliability for gaming. Customer service was also atrocious. Their support was rude and unresponsive. Was forced to refund through Amazon due to their terrible service. Overpriced bad product, get a TPLink instead.

Zeer teleurstellend deze router. Wifi 2,4 verbindingen werken niet goed. Ook loopt de router vaak vast tijdens veranderingen in het menu. De asus ax6000 werkt beduidend veel beter en meer compatible met je smarthome dan de nieuwe versie van asus. De wifi 7 voegt niet echt veel toe aangezien er nog niet veel apparaten zijn dat wifi 7 gebruiken. En tegen de tijd dat wel is dan is deze router zeer verouderd en kun je beter kijken wat er op dat moment te koop is. De 4 2,5 utp poorten zeer handig en ook de 10 sfp poort ook maar dan is het meeste wel gezegd met deze router. Ga je niet deze router aanschaffen voor de wifi 7 want de wifi 6 mist en dat is echt een min punt.

Lo monté para sustituir un router antiguo que ya se quedaba corto y el cambio ha sido bastante bestia. 📦 Desde el primer momento se nota la estabilidad: mejor cobertura en toda la casa y conexiones mucho más rápidas, sobre todo si tienes varios dispositivos tirando a la vez. Lo que más me ha gustado es lo completo que es. Tiene puertos de sobra para montar una red seria en casa (NAS, PC, consola…) y el tema del WiFi 7 se nota en latencia y velocidad si tienes dispositivos compatibles. Además, la configuración es bastante sencilla para todo lo que ofrece, incluso puedes separar redes o montar invitados sin complicarte. También lo veo muy versátil si te gusta trastear: VPN, control parental, redes IoT… tienes opciones para aburrir. Y en cuanto a rendimiento, incluso con streaming, descargas y gaming al mismo tiempo, ni se inmuta. 💶 Por 387,17 €, no es barato, pero tampoco es un router “normal”. Come da tradizione ASUS, il router RT-BE88U è molto semplice da configurare, grazie ad una interfaccia molto chiara e, almeno all'inizio, a dei comodi wizard. Disponibile anche un'APP da cui è possible impostare quasi tutto, per ulteriore comodità. Grazie alle 4 antenne esterne sostituibili, la portata del wi-fi, sia sulla banda 2.4GHz sia sulla banda 5GHz, è impressionante da vero top di gamma, così come le velocità che è possibile raggiungere. L'unica vera "mancanza" è la banda a 6GHz che in caso di condomini affollati potrebbe fare la differenza. Ovviamente si tratta di WiFi-7. Riporto solo alcune delle altre caratteristiche perché sono realmente molte: VLAN, VPN, reti ospiti, possibilità di usare la banda 2.4 e 5 simultaneamente (wifi-7), unico SSID o separato per ogni banda, protezione GRATUITA dalle principali minacce targata TrendMicro, 8 porte LAN (4 da 2.5Gbit, 4 da 1 Gb), doppia porta 10Gbit, Porta SFP+ per collegare direttamente ONT della fibra ottica... Controllo genitori, molto semplice da configurare e decisamente completo, per limitare l'uso di internet ai ragazzi. Può essere un nodo di una rete mesh Asus (non supporta open mesh) dove più dispositivi concorrono alla copertura di casa. Dal lato gaming ha una porta prioritaria per il traffico di gioco, prioritazzione dedicata ad alcuni dispositivi (anche mobili) o tipologie di traffico (QOS), Open NAT... un vero missile. Supporto a firmware alternativi come il Asuswrt-Merlin (ulteriore plus per i prodotti Asus). Non ho ancora una connessione fibra multi-gigabit, ma con la mia vdsl a 90Mbit, va una meraviglia senza ritardi, senza tentennamenti e funziona in maniera stabile da mesi senza mai una impuntatura e senza mai risultare caldo. Per gli esteti: la confezione è davvero ben realizzata ed elegante, assolutamente in linea con quel che ci si aspetta da un prodotto premium e contiene tutto il necessario. Oltre al router abbiamo un cavo ethernet cat6, l'alimentatore, le 4 antenne da montare, un guida rapida, la garanzia... Il router in se è abbastanza elegante, anche se le 4 antenne esterne, non sono il massimo della discrezione. Motissimi i pro quindi, ma anche qualche contro. I contro: - costoso - niente banda 6 GHz (solo 2.4 e 5Ghz) - ingombrante: è grosso più di un foglio A4 e le 4 antenne con i connettori sporgenti sono davvero poco discrete - si può solo appoggiare di piatto, niente possibilità di montaggio verticale o a muro
