Awesome belt for line work!
I was hesitant after seeing reviews talking about the sizes being iffy (even though the return policy is great I needed something OSHA approved ASAP) and being a larger guy at 6'3" and 245lbs, I went to Lowe's, bought their pricey safety harness to pass compliance while I waited on this item to ship, and to have something in case the size wasn't fitting for me (the title of medium/large is very inaccurate) as I have always worn a 42 or 44 size waist, I didn't think I was in the "medium/large" sizing class. But after looking at their provided sizing chart I took the chance, and needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when it came in, it fits perfectly for a man of my size, glad I didn't order the XL as it would be way to big. The D rings are of great quality, the back cushioning is adequate to hook up to a pole and lean back on without any pinching or discomfort. I have recommended this belt to several other co-workers, it is much cheaper, and fits the very same with the same level of comfort

Also works great for walking lots of dogs
Funnily enough, we didn't order this as a safety belt. I work at a dog training facility, and we couldn't find any dog walking belts with solid enough construction or enough back support for our trainers to safely walk 4-7 dogs at a time. The solution before was to wrap a leash around the walker's waist and thread other leashes onto it, but that put way too much pressure on the walker's skin/waist/back. Belts made specifically for dog walking though were rated for only one or two dogs, and I never found one that I deemed safe enough to use the way we needed too. Then I started changing my search criteria and found this. It's wonderful. Our trainer with a bad back said it actually holds her back straight when dogs start to put pressure on it. We added on a molle pouch to hold treats, emergency scissors, fight stop spray, and cellphone, and hung a poop bag dispenser from one of the little loops. It maybe looks a little funny walking around with those giant rings on your hips, but we couldn't be more pleased with the setup. Much stronger construction than anything I could find designed for dog walking.

Very good replacement
Will be used primarily for hands-free working on residential TV antenna towers. As to sizing: my waist fluctuates 36" summer/38" winter. I am probably between those numbers at this time and right out of the box this belt fit properly in the center hole of the tongue which will allow two holes of adjustment either way. This will be great for the variances between winter/summer clothing too. Remember-wear the belt around the hips, not the lower back as is shown being done in another posted review.

Best belt I’ve used.
3M quality is all I need to say compared to the “off brand” junk out there.

3M Quality
I'm 6' 4" 280lbs, ordered XL and it fit with 3 notches to spare. I was hesitant to order XL as I m a very large guy and normally wear size 40 waist jeans but it fits very well. Fit and finish is what iv come to expect from most any 3M product, I suspect this belt will last many years.

works well, your waistline will tell the tale in the end though. read on
It does the job I need it for. Not heavy, and has a solid feel. My only complaint is one belt Loop is just a little loose and the next one is a bit snug, so I wear it snug. Guess I'll have to put down the morning donut for a while. I bought a chain and a large rebar hook, put the chain through the belt hoops, and attached the hook to the chain (cut to fit my waist) . I hook it to the rung of an extension ladder when I do high work with both hands working on the task and not on the ladder. I have a push out extension at the top of the ladder with rubber feet, so there's little chance of it sliding anywhere while I work. It's all piece of mind when you're 20 feet up and way north of 50.

comfortable
ease and comfort, not leather; although some D rings on leather will let you carry a ladder horizontally on D ring while walking if it matters

Safety Belt
I purchased this safety belt to be able to work on my roof. I use it with a strong utility rope and connect to it with carabiners. The belt does exactly what I purchased it to do. It is very sturdy and well made with quality materials.
