Purina Pro Plan Weight Management Wet Dog Food Beef and Rice Entree in Gravy - (Pack of 12) 13 oz. Cans

I've had a hard time finding a beef food for our dog. All I could find in my area was chicken or turkey. Our dog, Cupcake, absolutely loves it! Thank you Proplan!

I’ve been feeding my 8.5 year old Blue Heeler a different major brand of canned dog food but she is currently 60 lbs and about 10 lbs overweight. She just had surgery to repair a torn cranial cruciate ligament a few weeks ago so she seriously needs to lose weight. I saw the Purina Pro Plan Weight Management dog food and thought it would be a good idea to try. When I received the food, I opened a can and fed a few bites to all of my (5) dogs as a treat. They all absolutely loved it. One thing that I like is that this smells much better than the other brand of dog food I’ve been feeding her which just had a really strong smell. This one has just a light meat smell. The feeding instructions show for a 25% calorie reduction to feed about 3 cans. It doesn’t show 60 lbs specifically on the label; it goes from 50 to 75 lbs so this is just calculating in between. 3 cans per day would get really expense really fast so I am feeding her 1 can currently and supplementing with equivalent calories of crunchy food. I feed her the soft food first. She gets so excited when I am carrying the bowl to her eating place that she tries to jump up as she’s following me but it’s difficult having a weak leg and being overweight. She definitely makes her excitement known. She licks her bowl absolutely clean. She leaves nothing. She is tolerating the new food well. No stomach issues at all. I also like that it’s formulated to maintain muscle while losing weight and this is important because her leg muscle has significantly atrophied since her surgery but she is starting to use it more so hope this will help her to start losing weight but maintain the muscle that’s left in her leg while she starts using it more to build that muscle back. I am planning to stick with this to see if I can help reduce her weight. I am happy I came across this food because I probably would not have tried a new food otherwise.

I have four dogs and two of my dogs are having some chunky issues. These has been great to add to their feeding rotation. I've already gone through 12 and bought another pack. My dogs loves it and my smaller and chunkier dog has already lost some weight. Purina makes a great product of high quality. My vet was happy to hear that I had put my dogs on this. We are very happy with it and the dogs love to eat it. Highly recommend!

One of our dogs tends to gain weight easily, so we were looking for a low-calorie option that they would still enjoy. The moment I opened the can, both dogs were immediately interested, and they devoured their portions in seconds, leaving their bowls spotless.The food has a nice texture with chunky meat morsels and visible rice kernels, all in a gravy that makes mixing it with kibble easy. Although the gravy is a bit on the liquid side (I wouldn’t mind if it were a little thicker), the overall quality is great, and the dogs absolutely love it. The portion sizes are generous, and the food comes with everything you’d expect from a high-quality brand like Purina.If you’re looking for a weight management food that your dogs will actually get excited about, this is a fantastic option. Just be prepared for the larger portions when everything is combined, but it’s worth it to see how happy and satisfied your pups will be!

Purina is a solid brand that has been around a long time. A lot of research and science goes into many of their feeds and foods. It can be pricey. This dog food is no exception but it has quality ingredients. My dogs devour it whenever I feed it to them. They have a special diet dry food for their regular food but these cans provide a nice wet treat thats easy on the weight.

I really like Purina diets, so I decided to order these as a treat for my dogs that are on a weight management diet. In comparison with other over the counter weight management diets, this one is very similar such that it has higher fiber so the dogs feel full. The only drawback to that is they poop more. Otherwise, my dogs both loved it and I like the gravy because it makes it easy to mix into their dry food. The price is a bit high and I've found it cheaper from other distributers.

My dog is an older 20 pound mixed breed that has never demonstrated what I consider "usual" dog habits. She won't eat anything handed to her (not even meat, bacon, etc) and generally turns her nose up at most dog foods. I found one a while back that she will eat (most of the time) and thus I was almost certain she would NOT be interested in this one, especially figuring that anything that says "weight management" would be even less tasty than other dog foods. I was SO wrong! She loves this Purina Pro Plan Weight Management dog food. It's nice to have something else to give her so she has a little variety in her diet.

My sick dog wasn't eating and when I gave her this she gobbled it up!!! She unfortunately ended up passing from DCM and now my other dog has enjoyed the rest of it. He is now on the dry form of this dog food and seems to love it just as much as the wet ones.
