This vacuum cleaner comes up to all expectations. Bought to replace a battery cordless one that failed repeatedly, I will not buy another one. Pros and cons..... Pros: The cleaner is efficient, nothing escapes the powerful suction on both hard and carpet floors, picking up grit, leaves, broken biscuits, in fact everything that gets in the way, it's excellent, and the brush roller does what it says on the box, cleans itself. I use wool fibres in my hobby which get everywhere, but it's not a problem for this cleaner. It's so easy to use, click and parts of it come away for easy emptying, using the hose, nozzle, etc. It holds a large quantity of dust (my previous battery cleaner held little more than a teacup), this one does not need bags, empties at a click. It transports around easily on its 'back' wheels. There's plenty of cord, it's not a problem to plus and unplug, stretching a long way around our rambling bungalow, does not restrict movement, or impede reach. We don't have stairs but the nozzle and extension clip click out, and can reach ceilings easily, the main body clicks off, can reach higher. Haven't used the upholstery brush yet but it looks like a useful bit of kit. The electric cord wraps up neatly on the handle, releases at a turn of the cord wrap. Cons: it's heavy, but I can manage okay (in my late 70's). It won't go far under furniture, but the nozzle clicks out easily and does the job anyway. Altogether, it's the best buy I've made and would recommend this cleaner.

I'm really pleased with this! I replaced my trusty 2006 Dyson Animal with it, and I now realise that I've been missing out. It literally sucks the carpet up as you hoover, and the amount of dust it collects is impressive. It's very lightweight and easy to carry around. It feels very small in comparison to my old Dyson, comically so, but that is why it's much lighter I suppose. I love the light on the front, and the ease with which the handle sucking piece comes off is great. I haven't got to grips with carrying around the main compartment after you detach it, but I've figured that maybe I just don't need that function. The little motorised head that came with it is also fab; it's great for the stairs and sofas. The green and yellow colour scheme looks retro and I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it's fine. All in all, a great little vacuum!

Completely exceeded expectations. For reference I'm decades old and owned many vacuums over the years including Dyson, and Shark's own cordless (which I previously thought was very good), etc. I know all vacuums seem to perform well from new before the filters clog up/degrade and various blockages form which compromise the suction, so bear in mind that I'm writing this review based on using a brand new unit, but my word, I went over the bedroom carpet which has previously been vacuumed using the Shark cordless and it pulled out so much dust the entire container filled up - I'm both horrified/disgusted and impressed all at the same time. The newer carpet on the landing which is about a year old, I thought it still looked new, but running over it with this and it truly does look brand new - I actually enjoyed doing the vacuuming, it was so satisfying! The suction is exceptional, and I read a few other reviews before buying which complained the vacuum was quite heavy to push around - I don't think it's the weight of the unit, but the suction is so strong it's holding itself down making it difficult to push around. You can mitigate this as much as you want by sliding the little thingy around (near the handle), which reduces the suction - but why you'd want to sacrifice performance in order to move the thing around easier I don't know, as you're actually increasing the overall work you need to do as you need to do more passes. But fair enough, not everyone can cope with this beast unfettered. I got the green one because it was cheaper than grey and also included the pet tool, which is good for stairs in my experience. I don't particularly like the green and would've preferred grey, but it's not a bold green as such, just a bit "old person"... Though I'm not wearing it out of the house so I don't mind, it was well worth the compromise in colour to get the tool. Very easy to assemble - you don't need the instructions and everything clicks together very nicely. Overall I'd buy again in a heartbeat. Time will tell how much, and how fast, performance degrades, but I hope a spare pack of filters will keep it going nicely. Shark vacuums might not look the best, but they are a tool, and I'd rather have something that looks a bit less aesthetically pleasing that actually does the job anyday. I would never go back to cordless again, it's a total gimmick and the batteries fail over time and are the most expensive part to replace - complete con. Highly recommended.

I was a bit nervous about ordering this as it had some poor reviews. But I found it easy to put together it works well, is quite efficient with enough suction power for me it’s not too heavy (weight is a factor when you have to take it upstairs) pretty good value for money in my opinion especially as I got it at a reduced price

Bin your Dyson.. the suction on this is mad, lifted my laminate. Easy to use, quieter than most. Build quality seems great so far. Lightweight and a great size for storing away. Definitely worth the money. And love the look.

Very happy with this purchase. It's easy to manoeuvre and get under furniture (except very low sofa). The light is a fantastic feature as it helps me stop dirt as I'm going along. The button to switch between carpet and hard floor is effortless which is perfect for me. Cable is long so I can do the whole of upstairs which has four bedrooms without unplugging from the landing.

Truly an awesome vacuum. I thought i would never write a review about a vacuum. But this is worth it. We disgusted ourselves at how dirty our home was once we had passed this Shark around a room. The room had just been vacuumed by Henry. OMG. The difference. Buy one. great suction great maneuverability, really easy to use and empty, really long cord length, all very intuitive.
