Sturdy and Reliable
For what it is, this is the lightest and most practical option out there. I think the sea foam green is attractive too. The box felt heavy to me but I put it on the scales and sure enough with the box and all the packing it was about 27 pounds. So the 19 pound weight is heftier than I imagined the way the weight is distributed but I can lift it easy enough but really glad it has rollers. The battery is in the remote control which makes the remote pretty hefty but it can be carried separately and the packaging says it is good for 32 lifts. Mine came with a vinyl pouch affixed to the chair back to hold the remote. Then there is not really anyplace on the chair to store the compact power supply with the remote in there but that really is not a problem. The chair is well constructed and I can fit it about anywhere. I tried out after I charged it and it feels secure on the ups and downs.

Fantastic lifting assist
This lifting assist chair is honestly fantastic! I ordered it Sept. 14th, delivery was Sept. 15th. It was well packaged and fully assembled. The charger to use the chair was also already charged a bit. This made it easy to test it out quickly. I was so thankful it was assembled, that’s the biggest bonus ever. Honestly, this company thought of everything to make things easier. I am fully impressed with the chair, the easy operation of the chair and everything! I read the instructions and tried the chair out and it was a total success. I then tried it on my husband as I purchased it to lift him. Every time he falls I’ve had to call for help lifting him but not any more. I’m 68 years old 5 ft tall about 120 lbs with a bad back. My husband is 69 years old and is just over 6 ft tall and weighs at least 230 and maybe more. After he fell 5 times within 14 days I was ready for a new plan and this chair was it. I am thrilled that I purchased this lifting chair, no regrets. I also like the way this company is easy to call with questions, etc. I plan to buy additional handicap items from this company as needed. I’m VERY pleased with everything! I’m so excited that I can finally help my husband get up from falling without calling for help. Thank you for making it possible. Update, I had to try the chair out on my husband the following day from another fall. He was completely impressed at how easy it was to lift him. He also really likes the design of the supports on the sides. The holes to place your hands make it easier to grip. He said it helps him feel more stable/supported during the lift. We are both thrilled with this purchase ! Additional Updates (1): There are little tiny wheels that help SO much to move this chair easily when folded up to transport/roll as needed. Makes it so nice when you can’t lift heavy weights. I leave the chair unfolded with the bottom base of the chair neatly tucked in under the end of our bed and out of the way. I just pull it out as needed to use. Update (2): I just purchased a second lift chair to keep in the trunk of the car as my husband has fallen numerous times getting in and out of the car - It’s a life saver! It was hard for me to keep putting our house lift chair in and out of the car each time I transported my husband. I put the chair in a heavy plastic bag into the trunk ready to use and pull out as needed. *** Caution: You must NEVER leave the operating battery device in the car!!! You must Keep the lithium battery operating cord device out of car and transport with you until you need to use the chair. This is mandatory, trust me! The battery/cord device is a lithium battery and if it gets HOT it could blow up. I’ve seen it happen with another lithium battery so I’m super cautious and hope you will be as well. Lithium batteries do not like temperature fluctuations! Be cautious and respectful of your operating battery cord please. Please error on the side of caution and you won’t have any worries. I keep our lithium battery cord with me in a small Bright RED Fabric tote when I transport my husband at all times. I take the RED tote with me along with my purse into our appointments and church, etc. I never leave it in the car. It’s a little inconvenient but well worth it! When I’m not transporting my husband I leave the RED tote & chair battery cord by our front door ready to take as needed. The chair is always in the trunk of the car ready to go. The RED tote is easily identifiable and the RED color defines it as emergency use so it’s perfect. We never forget it and my husband always says be sure we have the RED bag. It’s part of us now when I transport him. It’s also easy to hang the RED tote on the back of the wheelchair when transporting as well. I hope this helps other’s.

Sturdy, secure & comfortable
F75 5'11" 170 lbs here. No muscles to speak of. Delvery box heavy but it came right to my door, so I could drag it inside, & unbox it in the hall. I had read there was no assembly, so I was able to use the convenient handles to stand it up, & the roller wheels got it into the bathroom. Easy to lift into tub & position (I had premeasured). Read instructions, charged handset all day, & was able to take a bubble bath without worrying I'd get stuck in the tub or fall trying to get up & need the Fire Dept. You have no idea what you're going to miss as you lose strength & mobility, and I'm very thankful this was only such a silly thing, but I swear I felt 20 years younger splashing around amidst the bubbles. Seat was sturdy, lifted me all the way up before tub had finished draining. Handset no problem as I just let it hang outside the tub. Very comfortable seat. Easy to rinse & wipe off. I will let it dry overnight, then collapse it (it has a narrow profile) and store it alongside the vanity, so I can shower during the week.

Great chair with some minor issues
I really liked this chair. PROS: - thinnest profile when down of any chair I could find. - good lift capacity. - smooth, quiet, operation. - removable side wings. It's important to cover the gap between chair and tub, so they're necessary on one side, but an annoyance on the other. - decent size battery pack. I don't have a wall outlet nearby, so battery powered is a must have. Low battery indication -before- it can't do a full cycle is also a must have. - easy to separate battery pack from chair so it can be brought to a charger. - lightweight. Not really an issue once in a tub, but I appreciated it being lightweight when lifting it in and out of the tub. CONS: - there's not really any place to put the remote while using the chair. There's a cop for it in the back of the chair for storage, but that's not reachable when the chair is in use. I'm not a fan of letting it sit in the tub water, either, as I'll have to clean it more often regardless of any safety issue. - buttons are on the stiff side and I suspect they will only get harder to push with time. My 90 yr old mom lacked the strength to push the UP button, so I ultimately had to return this chair. - wheels are great for moving it around, but they also make it not want to stand upright on it's own and present a cleaning issue in the tub. If you're leaving it in the tub all the time, you don't need it to stand on it's own but you also don't need the wheels. - battery pack is in the remote. This presents a safety issue since the remote spends a lot of time in the water since there's no place to hang it.

Made a difference in our day out!
Waited until we used this to write a review. Bought this shower lift chair to use in our van to help a wheelchair bound person. It worked much better than we even hoped for. Searched many types of lifts. Some very expensive and some very heavy. If you have a wheelchair bound person in your life, you already are tired from lifting and helping them. And you already know everything to aid a disabled person is expensive and a lot of items are heavy! This lift is 19 lbs and was purchased on sale. Why not try it? Got it a month early from when it was needed so we could practice. Practice run went surprisingly well. Actual day needed for an important trip made a huge difference in the entire day. The lift was placed next to the backseat in van (one van seat removed for extra room fulltime), scooted onto lift, raised with remote, scooted onto seat, fold lift down and slide behind seat and go! Did this 4+ during the day. Made a big difference in having sore muscles and not having sore muscles from the already long day. We hope it is durable and lasts quite awhile. It is lightweight, chargeable, has little wheels and definitely made a difference in our person's day. Glad we took a chance on it. We also have an IndeeLift in the house(for years). It is great for next to the bed but way too heavy for transporting. This worked very well.

Great lift chair
I was having difficulty getting out of the bathtub after a nice long soak. This lift chair has solved yet another issue for men. Highly recommend it. It can also be used on the floor for a person who may have fallen but can't get up. It is the lightest weight of similar devices, 19 pounds.

Incredible customer service, buy with confidence.
Many of us try to make an educated purchase, product knowledge past customer reviews etc. I purchased this product in July 2025. It worked flawlessly for a few months, battery life is incredible. One day it just quit, left me on the floor of my garage ( I use this chair for everything, not just a bath) I managed to take it apart and jump it with a charger voltage and got me off the floor. I contacted SuperHandy through their website, I emailed what had happened, how I took it apart to get myself off the floor ( unless you have electrical knowledge, I do not recommend) I was trying to purchase a battery, I was answered with a message that they received my message and I would be contacted within a few days, surprisingly I was answered the next day, with a answer that a email would follow with replacement information at no charge to me. This was a simple filling out of my name and address, click on the order form. I was notified of shipping information and delivery, within a day or so I received a new controller by Fedx and was back using it. This was the best customer service I have received in years!! If you are reading this, thank you so much Vicky. I would purchase again (superHandy sells other products as well, looking in to these), this chair is not heavy, it is sturdy as well, I am 260 Lbs, I pull it up on the foot board of my Jazzy power chair, I move it wherever I need to do low level work, or need to be lifted from the floor, and bathing even in the shower. Or working on my vehicle etc. What happened to my chair was not a design or mfg flaw. It was a component failure in the controller, likely would not happen again or to another, so purchase with confidence, be assured of great customer service if needed.

It works, Folds away and fits neatly, is lower profile than others and DOESN'T SMELL
This review is for the: SUPERHANDY GORISE LT PORTABLE FLOOR AND BATH LIFT I recently used it to help my father get up off the floor... he fell usually when he is getting out of bed at night. it has happened before and I have hurt my back trying to pick him up with out this type of chair... here are other good things about this chair... this one is so much better than the others advertised it has an aluminum frame and less plastic and its lower profile and has a rubber like piece to hold the back rest to the main part of the chair for transport so it does not fold open when moving it around or when it is in storage so you cans store it vertically while folded up with no problem I have had bad experience with another chair like this one that was all plastic construction I would have kept it but the SMELL THAT THE ALL PLASTIC ONE PUT OFF WAS A DEAL BREAKER it smelled so bad and even after sufficient time to air it out and off gas it (because it was made of plastic) IT STUNK SO BAD THAT I HAD TO RETURN IT.. SO WATCH OUT FOR The other ones that are all plastic they are also not as low profile and do not fold up to a skinnier size, they also do not have a way to secure the seat part to the backrest part for storage and transport so when you try to pick it up from folded position from storage it unfolds. SO I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SUPERHANDY GORISE LT PORTABLE FLOOR AND BATH LIFT to anyone who has an elderly person like my Dad whom for what ever reason gets down on the floor to look for his glasses or the remote or something and then cant get back up. because as long as they are o.k. you can now get them back up into sitting position that is high enough to help them stand up WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO BEND ALL THE WAY DOWN TO PICK THEM UP OFF OF THE FLOOR and possibly hirt your back.. This chair can help prevent that and also prevent the amount of strain and physical exertion that the elderly person has to go through if they try repeatedly to get themselves up even with assistance.. I got my Dad up off the floor first try with this without it it took like half an hour and it was a workout for both of us.
