Shim Flat Plastic 60PK

I bought these shims/spacers so that I could shim the floating shelf in our shower so that it was more sturdy. They worked perfectly for that. When I remodeled the shower, I had to do a lot of work to the studs to get them plumb, level, and square so that the backer board and shower panels would be straight and level. I used cardboard drywall shims for that, but I wish I had had these on hand at the time. I could have used the various thicknesses to get different areas of the studs in the ballpark, and then just stacked the cardboard shims to match these spacers. I will for sure use them when we remodel the rest of the bathroom, since we will be replacing our wood-panel walls with sheetrock. I will use these for sure.

All sizes included are very close to their stated nominal thickness. I checked several of each. And, they are a dense type of plastic those doesn't easily compress. At least I couldn't get any to easily in a vise. They are a well made product. I also like how many you get. Not a stupid small amount like with some.

Used under toilet, where toilet shims weren’t the right size. Also used under shed on top of what I thought was a level slab. Now the shed doors close correctly. Sealed shims in place with silicone under shed. And similar cocking under toilet. Almost ran out stacking multiple sizes together under the edge of shed. If I had to buy them again, I would.

Thousands have for them setting drawer fronts reusable and make great permanent shims also
