Thus oil smells really nice and is a thickness of castor oil mixed with olive oil so no too thick or thin and runny. This oil works, it absolutely does. I did not follow the instructions though it wasn't until I was almost done with the bottle that my sister showed me that I was supposed to rinse it out. However, I have been using it as oil treatment. Once my hair was washed, I would oil my scalp, rub it in real good and go about my day. It did not bother my scalp, It did not cause my scalp to itch, It did, however, cause my hair to get a little thicker. I also noticed my hair was shinier and didn't look as dull and I like that. So in my opinion, it works, just follow the directions.

This De La Cruz Rosemary Mint hair oil blend with Castor, Avocado and Olive oil is amazing. The blend is ideal for hair and skin alike. You will see noticeable results in the quality of your hair with just a couple of applications. I make sure to use it before I wash my hair and try to keep it on overnight. If not, atleast an hour as a pre- shampoo conditioner is ideal.Apply on scalp and ends both. The hair becomes shinier, softer and so much more manageable after shampooing. I sometimes even use a few drops post shampooing as a serum to tame frizz. Either way, the blend is great with all it’s ingredients.The quality of the oil is also excellent. De la Cruz is an old and trusted brand and can be relied on. This blend even smells amazing and is thick in consistency. You can notice the potency of this oil with just a few applications. Rosemary is proven to stimulate new hair growth and I’m pretty sure with consistent use ill see new hair growth.Highly recommend this! I even went and checked out their other products. They have a wide range of options and I will be getting some soon as I’m so happy with this one.

Update 2 months later: I just want to say I am still loving this hair oil! I have combination/oily Caucasian hair. When my scalp gets oily and flaky, and my ends feel fried, I apply this generously in my scalp and tie my hair up in a loose bun so my ends also touch the oil. I leave it in all day (I can only do this when I’m going to be home), and at night I use my normal shampoo and conditioner in the shower and my hair feels baby soft and silky smooth every time! If I skip this oil I can definitely tell the difference. Definitely will be repurchasing when I run out!*************************************I like the simple ingredients and the smell isn’t too potent for someone like me who prefers unscented products. I smell more of the mint than I do rosemary. I’ve been dealing with a flaky scalp for weeks and after one use my scalp feels so much better. This is intended to be washed out as it instructs on the bottle, since it does make my roots look super oily. I applied it in the morning when I knew I would be home all day and left it in until nighttime when I had my evening shower. After my shower my scalp truly feels cleaner and all my hair feels softer too. Very happy with this hair oil!

Great soothing oil for the scalp!

This hair oil is a blend of Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil and Avocado Oil. Castor Oil being the first listed ingredient probably explains why the oil is thick as castor oil is thick. I gave 4 stars as both Rosmary and Mint oil are the middle ingredients so I don't feel it would be accurate to call this rosemary / mint oil, hair growth blend makes more sense. The mint scent is strong and definitely evident. The blend does have oils that are said to be good for hair growth and health. Overall, a good blend of oils for hair.

Large bottle, smells nice and spreads evenly throughout the hair.

The scent is very strong and gave me a headache. I only used this once but it did seem to condition my hair nicely. After I shampooed it out, my hair didn't feel dry. The scent still lingered longer than I expected. If you are sensitive to strong mint smells, I would use a little less or maybe dilute it with a little more castor oil.
