Ink is super nice, actually matte, although I don't work with black often I wanted something water proof.I have experienced bleeding and smudging still but it may just need more dry time. Unfortunately one of my markers is stained now but for the most part I feel like I can work around it

Came on time, was packaged fine and sealed properly.As for the ink itself well, It's a classic! Water and copic proof-- definitely the godfather of manga inks and it hasn't steered me wrong in the 7 years i've used it so far.

This is easily one of my favorite inks. It's thick yet buttery smooth, and it dries nice and dark. Once dry, you can erase the pencil drawing underneath with no fading and it holds up to watercolors and markers without smudging (I used Pro Markers, which are alcohol based).The only problem I have is that the bottle is plastic and a bit on the dinky side, and at 30ml (just over 1oz) you don't exactly get a generous amount. Also, while this is an excellent ink for brushes and nib pens, I STRONGLY advise against using this in a fountain pen or refillable brush pen. This is a very thick ink, the kind best suited for dipping tools.All in all, this is a very good ink and I highly recommend it for traditional colored work.

Here’s my very first test run using this ink & my new dip pen.PROS:- Very opaque & dries quickly. Love the darkness of this ink.CONS:- Not so compatible with alcohol marker. I did different line variations with the ink, allowed it to dry 24h, then tested my caliart markers over the lines. They smudged almost instantly.I am still quite new to using dip pens for manga art, but I think inking should be done after you color. You’ll also need a container of warm water beside you & soft paper towels to prevent the ink from drying up and clogging the ink flow on your nib. Definitely use a damp cloth to wipe the nib before you use the ink!OVERALL: Worth the buy due to how fast it dries, opaqueness of the ink! This ink works really well with brush pens too, found myself not needing to dip the brush into the ink too often because of how much a small amount of ink could disperse on large spaces!

My review is a very niche use: I use this - Deleter Black 4 - in an ackerman pen, which is a specially-designed fountain pen made to use dip nibs and handle drawing and dip inks. It must be said that you should NOT under any circumstance use this in a normal fountain pen! This is for dip pens, brushes, and other devices specifically designed for dip inks!That said, it's a a VERY thick ink, so you MUST dilute it for use in an ackerman if you don't want to get one of the larger feeds. And it requires watching, as it dries on the nib rather quick. I use about 1 part water to two parts ink for the Tachikawa Manga G, other nibs may vary. Keeping water and paper towels nearby for cleaning your pen is also essential, but thankfully it does easily clean if a clog occurs. For other uses I imagine you'd dillute it to the consistency required by your project and chosen pen nib.For the paper I use - neenah exact index 110lb - once dry it resists most copics pretty well as long as you are not scrubbing at it, although a few cause a slight haze. This might be more of an issue on slicker papers where more of the ink sits on top of the surface, or if you do heavy blending for marker-painting. But for drawings where you will be just cel shading and drawing with copics, it works well.For drying, it's relatively quick when applied thinly (like you would with a pen), but in large amounts it can take quite a while, and goes matte before it's fully touch-safe. You cannot visibly tell if the ink is wet or not, you have to simply wait longer than you think. Additionally, it has a tendency to seep through paper really easily if you spill drops of it, so heavier applications of it with a brush might require special consideration.

Going to be honest, this is my first jar of ink, so I can't really compare it to any other. I usually use waterproof pens with tiny, felt tips, but I wanted to try using dip pens like a lot of manga artists. I liked this ink. It's smooth, lasts further than I thought it would on a metal nib, and it dries pretty quickly, but you do want to give it time if you've put a lot down. I was worried about it when I started it with a dip pen, but I think I just have the wrong nib for me. I used it with a feather I cut into a quill and had a lot more fun, even though the quill wasn't made well and thus used too much ink too quickly. I got a white ink from another brand when I got this, and the white ink's texture was more grainy.

The media could not be loaded. The DELETER Manga Ink is incredibly pigmented, making it perfect for creating bold and vivid lines. It flows smoothly and provides great coverage. If you’re looking for quality ink for your manga artwork, this is a great choice!

Dries quickly and very dark, there is no smear or bleed when paired with water based products, as advertised!
