Works great
I was thinking of just getting a new vacuum robot to replace my Roomba 960 and I'm glad I didn't. I was a little upset when I saw that Roomba 980 batteries cost only a fraction of the price of the 960 replacement battery, but I really think it's worth the price.Of course it very easy to install. The first couple times you charge it, it takes a really long time, more than 12 hours. After those initial charges, it only takes like 2 hours to charge. On a single charge, my Roomba will run for about an hour and 20 minutes.Another issue I was having was my Roomba 960 wouldn't return to the charging station. It would always stop about a foot away from it and have the error beep every 30 seconds or so until I picked it up and out it on the charger.I was hoping a new battery would fix it but it didn't.So I found a YouTube video of a guy explaining the solution. He said to pop out the front castor wheel and put a washer on the metal part that connects the castor wheel to the Roomba. This will raise up the front of the Roomba very slightly. I'm not talking about the two main wheels, but the one front and center that rotates in all directions. After applying this fix, the Roomba now returns to it's base station with no issues!!I'm really pleased with everything now and glad I didn't waste money getting a newer fancier robot vacuum. I'm hoping my 960 lasts for several more years before I need to replace it.

fit in my roomba as expected and improved function
replacing the old one was pretty easy and this fit correctly, charged, and worked as expected. I bought the roomba brand because I didn't want to take fire risks with a generic battery. The cost was high. Sad I had to pay this to keep my Roomba working, but the replacement battery itself was good.

New battery doubled the service time
Our Roomba 690 (Molly) we purchased 4 1/2 years ago was getting old and only functioning for about 45 minutes and then just stop. We bought a new Roomba (Lurch) for the first floor and sent our old Roomba to the second floor. I recently bought the Roomba OEM battery and it increased the service time to 1 1/2 hours and it always goes back to it's base to charge. The battery is expensive, around $85.00, but worth it and easy to install.

Higher capacity battery avalable at IRobot online store
I bought this battery by mistake and Amazon promptly accepted my request for product return. So there are five stars to Amazon customer service.Though the battery itself - I am not sure why they are selling it while there are 3.3A battery available from IRobot but was not available at Amazon. I have three IRobot vacuum cleaners in my house and I know that at least in my environment 1.8A is not sufficient capacity. So I really do not know how to properly rate it.Service - 5startsBattery in itself is probably OK (I have not tried but I assume works well)But why they do not offer larger capacity battery ?

Good Buy!
Perfect fit

OK, I submit.
Unfortunately, this is the way to go. The name brand does really work better than the knock-offs. Buy once, cry once.

This battery is NOT a true replacement! HALF the power!
They neglect to tell you that this battery is NOT a true replacement. It has HALF the Amp hours and Power and thus needs to recharge twice as much or lacks the power to push through. We have been using the new battery for a month or so and the vacuum has failed to return to the recharge station very often. Sometimes it is in the middle of the floor and just stops. This did not happen with the old battery. During my maintenance this weekend of the robot, I checked the battery connections to see if there was an issue. All looked good so I read the very small print and compared it to the original battery (I'm an engineer and keep things), and noticed that the mAh was 1800 vs 3300 mAh. I have since changed back to the old battery for now and will assess my options. This was not disclosed in any way at purchase. Either iRobot is purposely distributing sub power batteries (which is shameful) or they have authorized replacements with lesser batteries for some reason. This battery has all their certifications but is deceptively being sold as the exact replacement.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dependable OEM Quality! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently replaced the battery in my iRobot vacuum with the iRobot 4502233 Robot Vacuum Battery, and it’s been a great choice! As an OEM part, it’s built to high standards and works perfectly with my vacuum. The battery holds a charge well, ensuring that the vacuum can clean my home thoroughly without any interruptions. It’s reliable and easy to install, giving my vacuum a new lease on life. This battery is also a perfect replacement for the 900 series vacuum. Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable replacement battery for their iRobot vacuum!
