Sprouted broccoli raab leaves resemble turnip greens, with a flavour that combines broccoli and spinach, with hints of mustard greens. **Q: i understand "RAAB" type broccoli is from the turnip family rather than the cabbage family so just wondered if these sprouts contain sulfurophane?**
A: First off, no seeds contain sulforphane, but some including broccoli seeds contains Glucoraphanin which converts enzymatically to Sulforohpane when eaten. Raab does NOT contain any significant level of glucoraphanin  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14969551

**Q: Can anyone tell me the difference between Brocolli seeds  and broccoli rabb or are they similar.Just noticed on packet it says rab.**
A: Broccoli raab is not strictly broccoli.  I have read that it is more closely related to a turnip.   
If you are after broccoli seeds to sprout for their sulforophane content then broccoli raab seeds do still contain some, but how much it is very hard to say, research is hard to come by.   As are proper broccoli seeds. It seems that suppliers have cottened on to the demand and have upped their prices.

If you are after simple broccoli seeds I think you need  de ciccio seeds.

**Q: Do you have to disinfect the seeds before growing them ?**
A: No you do what it says on the packet, wash them for four days then eat them ,
