You'll need new hardware
This light fits up and works just like the original. It’s physically deeper than the factory light to where the original screws are not long enough to mount the new light to the truck. After getting some longer screws I was able to get the light installed without a problem. My light runs way to long after the truck is locked so I was looking to help save the battery a little with the smaller drain from the LEDs compared to the incandescent bulbs

Fits perfect, does what is it supposed to do.
This third brake lights fits perfectly on my 2006 Chevy Colorado. It does look nice, however it is not as bright as they make it to be. It is just a third brake light that uses leds instead of regular bulbs, nothing less, nothing more. The darkened lens is a nice touch though !I would recommend it .. it is not too bright as to not blind people behind you while braking, but just enough to let them know you are slowing down!
