DrayTek Vigor 130 ADSL/VDSL Ethernet Modem

Amazing modem vs old open reach modem! MUCH FASTER! with new firmware! I had 12 ms ping when testing with speed test with old open reach modem With this I have 4 ms ping! The set up is quite easy if you follow the instructions properly And also I updated the firmware to latest on from their website I use my modem as a bridge connection to my gaming router I play csgo alot and noticed my ping in game was around 5-10 ms lower! I dunno if the Isps open reach modem was just out dated firmware or the hardware is old and thats why the performance is not up to scractch anymore I was skeptical keeping the old Isps open reach modem because they stopped making them and shipping them out with packages and the final nail in the coffin for me was that they wont be supporting the product anymore after March 4th 2019 which can cause security issues later on down the line. So for peace of mine and a updated hardware and software I chose this and so far I am not dissapointed! I hope all this information reaches you all perfectly as its all you need to set it up for your isp I am quite sure it will be similar for other isps too! Have fun and game on!

This could not be simpler to install... Plug it into the mains, and phone line, plug Ethernet into your firewall / router, configure username and password. I use it behind a pfSense firewall, and it works perfectly. Done!

My old modem which was given to me by my Internet Provider just kept crashing all of the time. This little beauty has solved that problem and has been running for a month now without needed a reboot. Marked down a star for the price as I think it's expensive for what it does.

Couldn’t get it to work with Sky, changed to Vodafone (saving £30 a month too!) and works perfectly. Update: after a couple of weeks it’s stopped connecting - over two hours with DrayTek support and even they cannot get it to connect.

It was quick and easy to setup and I haven't need to touch since then (a few months ago). Just what I needed to connect my Unifi network to ADSL line. All I had to do was put my login details into my Unifi control panel and connect up the cables. I can't comment on what the interface is like on the device itself, as I have never needed to connect to it.

Works with Plusnet and Pfsense, However, It does not quite plug and play. Took some research to find the correct settings for PPPOE VDSL Bridge mode. Getting super-fast speeds now with my i5 8GB Pfsense router!!!!!

Broadband speed improved for upload verses the old Huwei BT modem. Download about the same or marginally better. Also has the advantage you can perform line diagnostics / analysis with was blocked on the BT modem. Works fine with Apple AirPort Extreme.

Bought this having returned th netgear d200 despite many frustrating hours it would not work as a transparent bridge ie modem. Which is what needed as I was replacing my bt home hub with Google nest wifi and a modem was needed. In steps the vigor 130 literally plugged it in and no setup was required the Google nest router now was able to connect using ppoe credentials perfect.

In Questa versione UK il Firmware e stato troncato c’è solo la semplice gestione modem e funziona solo come bridge VDSL/ADSL rispetto alle altre edizioni mondiali router/firewall; fatto il reso per comperare versione normale (130-A) a saperlo prima… non è specificato nemmeno nulla nei dettagli in merito... ho dovuto scoprirlo da solo.... Comunque ottimo e di alta qualità
