These shoes have been working great for our 4 year old. He is able to put them on himself, including getting them on th correct feet. They have a roomy toe box that allows his foot to flex naturally as he runs and plays. They have proven to be durable, as he has used them extensively for park trips, pre-school, and walks through the woods searching for frogs and lizards. They have also proven to be quite resistant to dirt and stains, and are easily cleaned by brushing them off. The soles are stable and provide a lot of grip; he easily climbs up the wrong way in slides at playgrounds. We are very happy with these shoes, and the price is worth the comfort for his feet and the durability.

Perfect for wide feet! They are much better quality than I expected. They have great support for the side and back of the foot. They also just look really nice!

I love these shoes and so do my kids. I tried about 5 pairs of standard sneakers (Nike, Target, Walmart) and my 6 year old son complained they were uncomfortable. Finally I got these with the Wide toe box and my son loves them! They are bendable, lightweight, and durable so far. And you can’t beat the price. I definitely recommend

This is my 5th purchase from the Whitin brand. Affordable and not too barefoot with the insert which is how my daughter prefers. For more barefoot feel simply remove insert. I do like how they upgraded their kids model. See video for older model (pink) comparison to newer model (black). Flexible, breathable and great for school! Easy to wipe/wash. One picture and video is after 1.5 month daily use. One picture is first day of school. Holding up well so far, will try their canvas model for kids next. Sizing was easy, and as long as you follow their provided measurements, shoes will fit. In comparison to usual us size their size was one larger. Example: Carter’s shoes we have size 11, Whitin was size 12. Functionality is great, stretch of the material has a good give when putting them on, and had no complaints about comfort! We do wear regular fit socks, not no see socks, so no issues with rubbing in the back, but their older model was softer I the back (pink shoes in the picture). Unfortunately velcro on older model was not sturdy and I had to mend it after a while.

Love, love, love Whitin and their wide toe box shoes! This is my daughter’s third pair—only because she keeps growing out of them—and she absolutely loves them. She runs comfortably, plays confidently on the playground, and they hold up great through all her activity. She loves them so much that she even chooses to wear them to church. Hands down her favorite shoes! The whole family has now joined the Whitin family!

Very sturdy shoes! Last a long time - 7 year old wore them for entire second semester of 1st grade. Very comfortable and nonslip. Great value for the price!
