This is the second hatchet I've ordered from Amazon. I wasn't happy with the first one I got, and seem to have lost it somewhere. I ordered this one and am completely happy with it. It's well balanced and seems well made. I don't care about the sharpness of any cutting tool or knife since I can make them razor sharp myself. That said, this arrived quite sharp and needed nothing before use.

so far as worked well for splitting kindling, the blade has a good to it.

Bushcrafting must! Came sharp.

Axe seems to be of good quality, however the rubber sheath that covers blade will not hold up to repeated on & offs! If they would supply different sheath with axe, they would have a winner, but as is can only give 4 stars!

My 15 year says it is very functional.
