How many homeowners does it take to screw in a Socket Light Fan? One, unless you have to have someone steady the ladder. Very easy install, works as promised. The ability to change light color and brightness is a big plus. Although small the fan moves air pretty well. The fan may be a little noisier than you want on highest speed, but not really any worse than any other fan. I installed 2 in an small office and with separate controls for light and fan I was able to turn off the light behind me when I am online with my camera for meetings reducing the glare the others see. Definitely recommend this product.

Love how convenient it was to install - simply screw it into the socket!! I bought it for my front porch and it works great. I must admit that the remote is great but it took me a bit to figure out how to operate it. Just tonight, had a neighbor ask me to forward information so they could order one for their basement that had a low ceiling and over exercise equipment. And the light is pretty fancy - looks like an expensive light fixture when on!! Would buy again.

This product works wonderfully! It’s very innovative I would recommend this product to anyone who comes across it. It fit the light socket perfectly. The remote control works and gives mighty comfort with the speed control. It’s very easy to adjust.

UPDATE: the remote did indeed die. I bought two and one came with another really nice plastic remote, so if you get one and you get a larger, cream colored remote, you're in business. If you get a little flat rectangle one, it's a bad bet.ORIGINAL:I had to buy an extender because this one, unlike the Bell and Howell and other enclosed ones like this, doesn't have an extender and the built in socket isn't long enough to reach for a can light. It's literally like a centimeter too short which is so frustrating because it's close. So factor in the price of an extra part if you're going to put this in track lighting or a can light. So it became a little pricier after factoring that in. I do like it a lot.I'm going to put video in later because I think there's some cool stuff you can do with this if you don't have little kids to put their hands through the back of it to get hurt. On a light stand, this thing is versatile - you can use it as a ring light and fan, although It'd be too noisy to use for videos. I like it a lot, but the remote is small and sort of flimsy in a way that makes me scared to have it as the ONLY way you turn the device on and control it. I'm not sure if it's weak, old batteries or if it's always persmickety about responding to my presses. When it does and works, it's killer, but the remote is by far the weakest point.

This product is really affordable and generally works really well. I have two of them and my main complaint is that the noise is annoying on the highest setting, but it has helped us sleep cooler at night. The light works well and it's nice that you can adjust the brightness and color warmth.
