Great Meat Cutter
This meat cutter is amazing (at least for home use). Cuts very thin strips of chicken, steak, pork loin, pork belly... It cuts partially frozen meats allowing for very thin cuts. We have been using it for about a year for home use and have not needed to sharpen the blade. My wife loves it. The only thing to be aware of is it is heavy.

Warped blade or drive shaft?
The ONLY reason I'm only giving this beast 4 stars is that I have yet to contact customer service about a slight warp in the blade (I hope), possibly a bent shaft. Still, it cuts like a dream so far, though I have only used it to slice a test roast and small block of muenster cheese. I truly hope the issue is just a slight warpage to the blade that can be corrected easily by replacement. The warpage causes some crumbing of cheese and meat, and can be heard during operation as a slight warble (VERY noticeable when activating the sharpening stones), though this machine is exceptionally quiet. I'll update this review after contacting customer service and getting some experience there, but overall, minus the blade issue, the build quality and overall finish is very, very good. It's part moose, and part elephant, though, and takes up 1/3 of my kitchen table, but when you want to shave meat and cheese as thin as I like it, you WANT a beast. Strong enough to slice soft-frozen cheese and soft very rare roast beef thin enough you can see light through it. It's fast, and the carriage assembly slides easily with little effort. 3 pounds of paper-thin roast beef in 4 minutes, 5 minutes for 2 pounds of muenster cheese, but could have been faster if I wasn't being so careful because muenster is a very delicate cheese that cracks and splits easily. Breakdown and cleaning is simple, though I will probably shop around for blade screws that use an Allen bit rather than the Phillips heads. They provided an extra belt and 2 extra blade screws, but with frequent use I think the screws will require replacement often with the Phillips heads. The blade guard provided covers the edge of the blade very well, but I still recommend cut-resistant gloves as you'll need to remove the guard to properly wash and sanitize the blade. The machine itself is easily wiped down and sanitized with a spray bottle of sanitizer and a paper towel. The carriage assembly is easily separated from the machine for washing, but be careful of the spikes that hold the product being sliced to the pressure arm, and you'll either need a large sink, or to remove the acrylic guard to wash it. The sharpener assembly is easily removed, as is the blade (once the blade-guard is attached), and cleaning only took about 15 minutes the first time through. I estimate I could do it in 10 from here on, now that I know what I'm doing. The manual has a few flaws; some translation issues and a couple of technical errors, but still better than much of the products that are imported, currently. Nothing you can't figure out, and there are several YouTube videos available to help if need be. I would not hesitate to rely on this as the main slicer for a sandwich shop or small deli, and it definitely has commercial build quality. It weighs a little more than 70 pounds, though, so make sure you have a table or countertop that can hold that kind of weight. I'll update this to share my customer service experience this weekend when I have time to call them.

Really a great value.
I wanted a meat slicer and was not compromising. I found this one. I did the research, asked questions, did some more research. I have had a meat slicer for a number of years but not this size. For a home it is a little overwhelming, BUT, I would not trade the convenience for a smaller model; period! This unit is quite. If I did not know it was on, really, if I did not know it was on, I would not know it was on other than the lighted toggle power switch. Not clanky, not noisy, not rude / crude / or down right ugly about it. First time had to send it back because the screws holding down the clear guard came loose in the packing and scared up the skin. Second one, no problems. Customer Service was easy to work with and very quick to make a customer happy with their purchase. Dollar for dollar, this is a great buy.

Quality Construction
Just got my 12” KWS. You can tell the quality right off the bat. Well constructed, everything lines up perfectly I say this because I had ordered another brand and the slide table was 3/8” off front to back, and it would not open to the full amount. The back plate did not line up top to bottom with the blade. Now granted I paid a little more for this, but it was well worth the money I couldn’t be happier with this slicer. Top notch and would recommend to anyone

Received with bent bottom plate.
The customer service from the manufacturer is really BAD. They gave me one day to rebox and return the product. I send emails and made 2 calls to their office with NO response. It look likes they have a shipping or packaging problem because this same bent bottom plate has happened to other customers. Beware of the packing and shipping issues.

Works as expected
Unit is strong and quiet. Had a minor issue and emailed customer service directly. Not only did they handled it professionally, it was a real life person who responded directly about my particular issue. I may be getting cranky as I get older, but his was fresh like in the olden days where manufacturers took pride and responsibility in their products. I was excited when I purchased this but I'm over the top after my interactions with this company.

I received the same damaged product twice.
This is a very pricey slicer in my opinion. The first machine I received was damaged and I returned it. The company offered to send me a replacement plate for the bottom but what smashed into it from the inside is the motor. I didn’t want to risk it not working right or having a short life span. I returned the machine which was not fun as it is 70 plus pounds. I reordered it and received the same machine in new packaging. Super frustrated because I needed to use the machine and was not able to. Now I need to return AGAIN. I have photos from both orders and it is definitely the SAME machine. I should have checked the reviews first. I guess this is a thing with this company. It’s a shame because the machine looks like it is very high quality otherwise.

meat gets stuck
i've used this for about a month. it is quiet and slices fine. my only real complaint is when i cut meat it seems to get caught in the slicer at the bottom and sometimes doesn't slice through. i've tried cutting veggies but it doesn't but them well and they tend to break at the end of the slice like it did to my squash. i ended up using the mandolin to cut the squash. it's not too hard to clean but you have to clean it after every use, so sometimes you have to make a choice to slice with a knife and save the cleanup. i think there are more expensive slicers that do a much better job. i tried to get the biggest bang for my buck and maybe i did. it should last the rest of my life. i'm just not thrilled as i hoped i'd be.
