They worked great, no issues with breakage, etc. However, the strap is a little lightweight and seemed to "stretch a little", I could see where the strap was somewhat wavy after I took it off my suitcase. To be fair, only one of the two did that, the one I used on my soft sided suitcase and I pulled it pretty tight. It did stay on and do the job it was made to do, keep my suitcase together during baggage handling. I will use them again and the stretch doesn't seem to have harmed the strap.
