They do as they should, they leave a nice thick line. My wife who has arthritis in her hands, finds that with the larger ball she can hold them at a steeper angle and still get a good line when she wrights.

they are great to write with much better than the std tip size pen but thats where the advantages end the 'nib' leaks each time you start to write you find the ball has not sealed correctly after the last use and a small amount of ink has collected around the ball and will cause a blotch as you start writing, however you know this so provided you don't mind cleaning the nib/ball before you start you should be OK, if you are writing for a while this cleaning operation will need to be repeated, I have as yet not used one as my carry along pen so I don't know if it leaks onto your shirt, hopefully not. They do write much nicer than std so hence 4 stars

Absolutely brilliant pens. I the fact that the nib is 1.6mm, and not the thinner bic biros which are 1.00. No smudging. Good too that you get the variety of both blue and black I did have to laugh though as I thought that they weren't working at first (then realised that they had a safety plastic bit on the nib to avoid leakage. Good thinking
