VOBOOMMen's Slim Fit Herringbone Tweed Suits Vest Premium Wool Blend Waistcoat

Sizing comments
I should preface this by saying my wife and I use the same Prime account (hers) and so our id is a bit misleading as I am a man. I bought a matching brown herringbone tweed vest and tie. They are as described and arrived in two days. I couldn't quite figure out what size to order, as I am ordinarily a size medium, but the size chart measurements suggested I get a large. I'm 5'11" 165 lbs and wear a size 43 regular suit jacket--42 is generally a bit tight and I swim in a 44. My shirt size is slim fit 16 x 34, and pant size is 34 waist 32 inseam. I would describe myself as having a slim to athletic build. I ordered a medium vest and it was tight--the measurements referenced in the size chart are therefore quite accurate--not that I believed them. I returned the medium and ordered a large with no hassles and received the large 2 days later. It fits perfectly. As others have mentioned, the lining sheds, so it needs to be rolled down with a lint roller. I will take mine to my cleaner to be pressed after shipping (it comes folded). It is exactly as pictured and listed and is very fun. The pockets come closed and will have to be opened if you want to use them. The tie comes pressed and neatly folded in a bag that keeps it from creasing so it does not need pressing. It's nothing fancy, but matches the vest, and so will serve it's purpose. My big plan is the wear the tie and vest as contrasting complements to a medium blue plaid suit I recently bought and that is still with my tailor. After trying both medium and large, I would say size large for a size 42 through 43--maybe an athletic 44 on the 43 side of 44. Medium for 40 to 42 on the 41 side of 42 (I am on the 42 side of 43, meaning if I buy a 43 suit off the rack, my tailor has to take it in a little). The quality is good and the material is the tweed I remember from when a 3 piece tweed suit was a required element of any well dressed man's wardrobe (admittedly a long time ago now), and should produce that kind of nostalgic reference in a modern setting. In any event it is well priced (I paid $39.99 with free Prime shipping for the vest) and at that a bargain. Recommended.

If you’re looking for the best midrange tweed amazon waistcoat it’s this one
I’m picky AF abt this and tried many here. Most of them are worse than they look in the listings with dubious materials, false descriptions, and atrocious “tailoring” — all of which amounts something along the lines of a 90s salvation arm cheap suit your mom cut the sleeves off of for you. These however are none of that. Not 100% wool but partially and it means u can use these for work or daily wear without being precious abt them. They are warm though bc of the full backing so keep that in mind. True to size and true to color. This is the company to order from. They price these at exactly what they’re worth, which is the same as a lot of the crappy quality/tailored vests that are over priced (like Paul Jones re “tailoring” bleh). Boooomark this for when u have special occasions , there’s a color for every outfit. Hardest part is choosing witch tweed to go with and whether to be super matcha with their hats! (seriously I am a very picky Amazon reviewer / customer bc most of the off brand stuff ends up being crap). I am 155lb / 5’4” 32” round chest and the small was perfect, which is much more than I can say for most of these, esp in the chest area. Sharp af. Great men’s fashion starter wear (that’s affordable but doesnt look it), work waistcoats, anachronistic daily wear etc.-good construction-quality materials (for the price)-quality control-good colors-GOOD POCKETS-good fit for swim build-doesn’t feel like gross oily synthetic material that crawled out a petroleum tar pit dinosaurs butt-good buttons-order and order again-wear daily/for travel or adventures and abuse guilt freeyou’re actually getting what u pay for here. Amazon curmudgeon approved

Nice, stylish vest at a good price point.
The vest is a great value for the price point! I prefer natural materials; eg wool, cotton, linen, etc. This is a 50/50 wool/poly blend which is fine for the price. I think the fit is spot on, and my wife agrees. It lays against the body well, not too loose and not to snug. I have fairly normal proportions with just a slight belly. Someone with a bigger belly may not be able to wear it comfortably when buttoned. It is slim fit after all. Arm holes are the right size and placed well within the garment, no pulling or restriction of movement while wearing with a long sleeve button up and t-shirt beneath that. The stitching and construction are good, and the buttons (while plastic) are nicely sized and styled for the garment. I was concerned that the vest may be too dressy for wear with jeans, but it definitely is not! This is a great multi occasion vest. It can be casual with jeans and boots, or paired with more formal garments. I am very pleased with the purchase and plan on adding a few other colors to the wardrobe. The only thing I would like to see added is an inside pocket. Thanks for a nice garment at a fair price!

6’4” and it’s long enough.
This waistcoat fits well and is very good quality for the price! I’m 6’4 and 205 lbs, so I often have trouble finding vests that are long enough. It could use maybe another inch in length (just because I’m tall) but I’m overall very pleased. It fits great in the chest and stomach. I’ll be buying more products from them in the future. For size reference I wear a 42L in jackets and 36” waist. I bought the Large vest as per the sizing guide. Hope this review is helpful to future buyers.

Very nice quality
I love the texture and the fit of this waistcoat. I definitely recommend it. I'm very picky about my buttons so I'm in the habit of removing the buttons of new jackets and waistcoats, then sewing them back on myself with stronger thread. I have not felt the need to do that with this waistcoat and I've been wearing it almost every day for over two months now. It is a bit on the thicker side so it may get warm in the Summer months.

Versatile, smart/ casual and stylish.
Saw this and had an idea it would go well with jeans, my brown boots and a buttoned shirt to go down to my local. I've had a few complimentary comments the first time it was worn so box ticked. It feels smart and casual at the same time, hard to explain really. The quality is perfectly acceptable but don't make comparisons with waistcoats twice the cost from gentleman outfitters or online countrywear shops. Great fit and the fact that the back was also herring bone tweed design instead of the usual silky material appealed to me more. It also made it a more unique design and gave it a better quality feel. The only thing i would say as a slight negative is that it was difficult to find a shirt that matched and didn't clash. Really pleased overall.

Outstanding value for money
I bought this waistcoat for the sole intention as part of my wedding outfit. It fits perfectly & is true to size. Compared to other Harris tweed waistcoats I looked at,this one represents outstanding value for money. The prices ranged from around £40 to £210. This one cost me £40. Although it's a wool blend & not a pure Harris tweed, you wouldn't know it! It looks & feels like others on the upper end of the price scale. Bargain.

Nice looking waistcoat, but way too big
I'm not sure if mine had the wrong label in but my medium sized waistcoat was huge! It's supposed to fit a 41 inch chest but mine measured about 44 inches across the chest, it was way too big and very flappy so it wasn't anywhere near a slim fit. Returned without issue so I might try the small size to see how that fits

Great buy.
I bought this as it had back in the same material as the front and is therefore a bit warmer than the usual lightweight back. The fit is excellent and the waistcoat is very comfortable. One point; go by the Amazon sizing; it is more accurate than the size shown in the illustration.

Very Nice, warm and reasonable fit
I like waistcoats but have not had a tweed one before. The fit is a little large but not noticeably/uncomfortably so. I was surprised at how warm it was and it will be used a lot during the winter months. As usual the pockets are sewn shut for delivery and whilst the bottom pockets were easy to unpick I had a little trouble with the top pocket. I am definitely looking at purchasing some of the other colours.
