Great Men's Casual Shoe Especially For Wide Feet
I am not a person who "loves" shoes, but this pair has worked out in every way. The key - I have wide feet. So I MUST have footware that is wider than most. These are 13EE, and they fit me nicely, even though I usually take a 12EEE, and occasionally a 11.5EEE. I bought them late last year and have successfully limited their use to work where they look great. Not using them to mow the lawn or build the deck has really paid off. I have high arches, so I removed the insoles and replaced them with superfeet green which I leave in the shoes. But they have really held up well, feel and look great. I'm ready to polish them, but so far they don't need more than the quick first time use polish I give most of my leather shoes.See the photo I posted as my desk at work (Sorry! I tried for 20 minutes to get the photo upright, even taking the photo with both orientations in my smart (?) phone, but no luck). I may buy another pair soon, because I always worry that a wide, nice looking, well built pair of shoes will be replaced by the manufacturer/retailer, and I won't be able to find them again. Timberland is a good bet for quality, and this pair reinforces their status.

Great shoe, great fit and great price!
I wear size 13 wide. These shoes fir just a touch big in the width. This to me is a blessing because they will fit over socks in winter. The shoe is an excellent boat show. Great quality and most important not much heel cushion. A boat shoe should be hard bottomed. If you want cushioning buy a casual shoe. The soles are flexible and light. The leather is soft. The laces could be softer but I think they will break in. All in all a great shoe. I purchased 3 pairs in different colors. The Taupe colored leather is so nice I bought a 2nd pair to store away for another day. The Amazon price is $35+ cheaper than most other sites.

Nice shoe, but too large
This is an attractive, nicely-made shoe, at a reasonable price. The sole and stitching all appear to be quite sturdy. The Amazon shipping process was quite efficient, too.But like many others, I found these Timberland shoes are not sized properly - the marked sizes are TOO LARGE. All of my other shoes are 10.5 (and with some shoes, that's snug). But the Timberland Earthkeepers size 10.5 were definitely larger than a standard size 10.5 - probably a standard size 11. So I exchanged these through Amazon for a smaller size - the Timberland Earthkeepers size 10. And those fit properly. It's unfortunate that Timberland does not size its shoes properly. On the positive side: The Amazon return process is very user-friendly. The online return guide generates a shipping label. My printer wasn't working properly, so I contacted Amazon, and they sent me a shipping label (which arrived by UPS in 2 days!). I was quite impressed with the return process.

Great shoes! Buying more after 3 years because of missing stitching. Fit a little big.
I've been wearing these for 3 years. They're great! I had to replace the laces once about 2 years in. It does fit a bit longer than expected once worn in. I usually wear a 12.5 W and even the 12 W were a little big on me in length. I have 4E wide feet, so these are perfect on my width. To let you know a little about me, I am very rough on shoes. Most shoes I own loses stitching at the little toe corner because of my walking on my toes. I scrape the top or sides against the ground sometimes while walking. My other shoes usually have terrible creases. These barely have a crease in them. It's only noticeable if you're looking really closely. I am purchasing a replacement pair now since some of the stitching is missing now. Other than that, these are perfect! As a tip, get yourself some mink oil or leather shoe oil to keep these babies looking new for years!

and have loved them for the last 10 years
I've worn boat shoes/docksiders for most of my life. I'm now 42. I never owned any by Timberland because I wasn't aware they made them. About 10 years ago in an emergency situation when my existing pair of boat shoes of another brand fell apart I found myself in need of a new pair immediately. The sole had literally fallen off from wear and they were over 5 years old. So, I went to a local store and voila there were some Timberland boat shoes on sale. $20 at the time. I grabbed them, wore them, and have loved them for the last 10 years. They've gotten broken in, worn out, and just well used. Recently, part of the sole came loose and two of the metal eyelets around the ankle popped out. Time for a new pair. So, I found the Earthkeepers Kaiwah Bay shoes. Quite frankly, minus one insanely tiny detail they are identical to what I had. There's no way I'll ever be able to figure out the old pair's "model". Nonetheless, I love these shoes. And, to make things even better I thankfully have a local shoe repair man who took my falling 10 year old pair of Timberland's and repaired the sole, fixed the eyelets, got rid of any unsightly loose threads, and really cleaned them up and just cleaned them up. I can probably get another 5 or more years out of them. My new Earthkeepers are for when I need to dress more nicely and the older pair is great for around the house and much more low-key situations. Both pair are insanely comfortable and well constructed. A pair of shoes that can last 10 years is a heck of an investment. On a side note, I have low arches and as a result wear inserts and my feet run a little wide. Timberland doesn't glue down the insoles. I simply pulled out the ones that came with the shoes and put mine in. No having to physically rip the existing ones out thereby destroying the ones that came with the shoes. I highly recommend Timberland boat shoes, in general, and most definitely the Earthkeepers Kiawah Bay style.
