Bought as a gift and I know my Chicago friend will love it. It's a perfect size, thicker material than most cotton bags but not heavy, well made, quality zipper and snap, drawing on both sides. Extremely happy with purchase.

We are going to Hawaii and I thought that this would be perfect to carry anything in. It seems very sturdy and very well made.

———————————————————————📝 NOTES:The tote is made of a durable canvas that you can confidently carry gallon vinegar, milk, or juice in, and zippered on top to secure your contents. The cute & charming art is printed on both sides, so you won’t have to favor one shoulder to show it off. 😉 Shoulder straps are just the right length, right in that Goldilocks zone where it’s comfortable for people of a range of heights. Seams aren’t bound, but are overlocked to prevent fraying. 4” base allows for some girth in contents.Zipper is smooth, BUT should you decide to buy it, I recommend sewing on a ZIPPER STOP on the side of the bag where it opens, as in this iteration of the bag (as of May 2024), when you open the zipper, it’s hard to start it for closing. What you’ll end up doing is squeezing the two sides together to carefully move the zipper pull forward, hoping that it won’t derail in the process—trust me that you won’t want to do this *every* time…it’s quite the time & effort for something you shouldn’t have to think about.If you sew or glue in some kind of object to prevent the zipper from opening all the way to the other end (up to about an inch away), then you won’t have any issues. I had a fabric scrap that I sewed in (tab that spans from one side to the other), and that solved the problem. The zipper itself works well, though, so don’t let this minor issue deter you from buying this lovely tote…I adore it! 💕I loved all three versions (Seattle, Chicago, Boston), but I’d only ever visited Seattle, and did enjoy my trip, so that’s the city I chose—it would have been a tough buying decision, otherwise, since all three are equally appealing, to my eyes. 👌
