Overall I found this book to be the quick and enjoyable read that I had hoped it would when I ordered it. I've read a lot of endurance sports books over the years, and while this isn't "Born to Run" or "Iron War," it doesn't try to be and still delivers enough in-race action where I found myself rooting for the author along his journey. Actually one of the things I liked about this book was the amount of time detailing the various races and competitions the author took part in leading up to his Kona qualification. I think if the book had turned out to be primarily about the story of his life with the Kona race as the climax I wouldn't have found it as enjoyable as getting to go along for the ride, or run, or swims along the away. If you are into endurance sports there's really no reason you won't like this book. The author is humble, transparent and demonstrates that with truly hard work and commitment, we can achieve the goals we set out for ourselves. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Daughter is an Ironman *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 29, 2021* My daughter recommended this book.
