I love Caron's Colorama Halo Perfect Phasing yarn cakes. Joins in cake were well done and didn't cause any issues. Yarn is soft, kind of silky feeling. The nylon part of this synthetic blend yarn gives the "halo" effect (like silk) and increases the softness. I used about 2.25 cakes to crochet a Large/XL "hexicardi" sweater (pictured). It's a modified pattern (base pattern "Hex no Hex" on Ravelry), and this yarn worked great for it. I used a 12mm hook to get the loose drape I wanted. I didn't do color changes, the ombre is how this yarn comes out. I did use some from outside of cake to crochet the trim in higher contrast. The sweater received a lot of views at the Farmer's Market, many complimenting the color ("It looks like sunshine."). There's several beautiful color options, and I'm looking forward to using this yarn (in different colors) in both crochet and knit. I'm looking forward to making more "cardigans" from this easy-to-use yarn... and using the leftovers to make a blanket! At the sale price, good value for the amount of yarn received. I ordered the 2 pack-- each cake has 481 yards, so the 2 pack has 962 yards total.

Absolutely gorgeous and soft yarn. I’ve made blankets, sweaters and scarves with it and LOVE it. It doesn’t split and has marvelous drape. I highly recommend this yarn! If this yarn gets discontinued I’ll be super bummed.

Amazing yarn that’s soft and has beautiful colors. Even better in person.

I know people don't like working with this yarn... But I think it is so soft and I love working with it. My customers and gift receivers also love wearing it. It is so feathery soft and the quality is decent for the price you are paying. I mean it is high end hand spun and died yarn so you can't compare it to that. I find it easy to use but I have learned to both crochet by sight of the stitches and by feel. It didn't take me long to be able to crochet quickly with it. It is not a thin light yarn, it does have some weight to it but not any more than a sweater or a hoodie might.

I used them to crochet a hat and scarf and they turned out perfect! The gradient coloring creates such a pretty look, and its super soft!

This is a beautiful yarn and easy to work with, but I would not classify it as chunky. It's more a worsted #4 weight. With fuzzy yarns, it's sometimes difficult to gage. It's definitely a good value as I used very little for the hat I made for my Dil. She really loves it. I did have to use 2 strands to get the proper gage for the pattern I was using. I crochet, so I'm not sure how it would work up if you knit.

Made a Hexi Cardigan and it was so soft and perfect.

Il n’y a qu’une seule pelote à ce prix là, malgré toutes les photos qui en montrent systématiquement deux et pas d’endroit où il est clairement écrit qu’on achète qu’une seule pelote c’est mensonger. Autrement le fil est doux et agréable à crocheter, en revanche, le dégradé est long à se faire (le fil reste très longtemps blanc avant de devenir rose pale pendant très longtemps avant de devenir rose moyen et ainsi de suite)
