A Decade-Long Upgrade: Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 Review
After a decade of faithful service from my previous electric toothbrush, I finally decided it was time to upgrade, and the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 proved to be an excellent choice. From its sleek design to its impressive performance, this toothbrush has quickly become an essential part of my oral care routine. One of the standout features of the ProtectiveClean 6100 is its cleaning power. With sonic technology that delivers up to 62,000 brush movements per minute, it provides a thorough and effective clean that leaves my teeth feeling noticeably cleaner and fresher. Even hard-to-reach areas are no match for this toothbrush, thanks to its specially designed brush heads and three intensity settings that cater to individual preferences.Another highlight is the built-in pressure sensor, which alerts you when you're brushing too hard, helping to prevent overbrushing and protect your gums from damage. This feature has been particularly beneficial for me, as I tend to be a bit too enthusiastic when it comes to brushing. In terms of convenience, the ProtectiveClean 6100 ticks all the boxes. Its rechargeable battery lasts for weeks on a single charge, making it ideal for travel or everyday use. Plus, the included travel case ensures that I can keep my toothbrush clean and protected wherever I go.Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to upgrade to the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100. It's a reliable, effective, and user-friendly toothbrush that delivers outstanding results with every use. If you're in the market for a new electric toothbrush, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Your teeth and gums will thank you.

Great toothbrush. Long lasting battery
This toothbrush is great! I love it. My first experience with an electric toothbrush was an oral b one I bought at the grocery store because it was on sale. I actually really liked it and had it for years. My husband was talked into buying a different kind by our dentist after he had a root canal. He was a bit loopy so agreed to buy two of them and they were terrible. But he had already thrown our other ones out so this is what we were left with. I hated it but didn’t want to buy another one and waste the money. It died after every use. It was just the worst. I think it was called pro sys. I wouldn’t recommend them. Anyway I got off track. This Philips toothbrush is great. My teeth feel very clean after brushing. I like the different mode options, different brush head options and best of all the battery lasts so long! I went on a weekend trip with this toothbrush and didn’t bring my charger. I didn’t need it. Then I didn’t charge it for about 2 weeks after getting home and it was still working fine all that time! Finally it let me know it was time to charge it but I was impressed with how long the battery lasted. It will also alert you when it’s time to change the brush head. If you’re looking for a efficient toothbrush and not worried about apps and other bells and whistles so brushes come with this is a perfect choice.

Works Great. A Failure Resulted in a Free Warranty Replacement (Make sure you register) Via Chat...
My daughter came in and told me her toothbrush failed. I looked to see if I'd purchased an extended warranty, but none was available. As I looked at the $130-179 replacements, I noticed some reviews saying the Amazon warranty was only a few months--but that CVS would've sent a free replacment. I found the e-mail confirmation of registering from 27 months ago (there is a 30-month extended warranty included--at least in our case.)I contacted the chat line literally 6 minutes before closing on this Friday night--w/o much hope. Not only was "Aida Mae" impeccable in her service, but she led me through a few simple tests, and then determined that a free replacement needed to be sent out -- which was summarily-processed. There was no charge whatsoever. The tests involved de-activating the "Quick Start" feature. While the unit is charging, hold down the Power button for a few seconds until you hear a few beeps. The second test is asking whether the unit had been charged for 24 hours since the problem started (yes.) Next, I was asked to try the different cleaning modes, and to go through the 3 intensity levels--same result. Lastly, I was asked to change to a different brush head (still no different.)Like others, I've used Sonicare brushes for decades. My whole family except my 10 year-old uses them -- he has a competing, simpler brand, but will "graduate" to a Sonicare in due time. This 6100 model looks and acts identically to the 6500 models my wife and I use -- except ours came with the fancy travel case (which I've never used beyond just testing it out.) The 6100 works in the travel case, too.The sense of cleanliness is second-to-none. We use the C3 whitening heads on all of ours. Combined with a Wal-Mart pre-brush rinse, a water flosser, and Crest Clinical rinse, I get excellent dental reviews. When I use the Crest 3D White Professional Effects No Slip Whitestrips, my dental hygienist JUMPS BACK at the brilliance! This experience is based on the 6500, but I can't see any visual, mechanical, or operational difference with the 6100.
