Packing was sketchy with a hole in the side of the packing box and nothing protecting pot inside, but it was still in good condition. The instructions were written in Chinese, so they were of no use to me. I spent a lot of time looking for a pasta cooker that did not have a non-stick interior coating. Our previous pasta pot had a non-stick interior coating, which started to flake off after a number of years. Based on the reviews, I believed this would be the right pot for our needs. The pot itself is very nice of medium weight steel. The lid fits nicely. The basket has a handle to lift it and a hanger for steaming. I got it to cook pasta noodles. It is taller than the pot it replaces, so it should be ideal for that purpose. After a couple of pasta cooks, the pot does what we bought it for.
