I absolutely love this hair waver! It heats up quickly and is super easy to use, even if you’re not experienced with styling tools. The design makes it simple to create consistent, beautiful waves in just a few minutes. What impressed me the most is how long the waves last. My hair usually doesn’t hold styles very well, but with this tool, the waves stayed in place all day without needing much hairspray. It also doesn’t snag or pull my hair, which is a huge plus. The temperature settings are great for different hair types, and it leaves my hair looking shiny, not frizzy. Perfect hair waver. I’ve not used a waver on my hair before, so for a first time use this was pretty easy to figure out. I like that it has a digital screen to see the temperature. It beeps at you so you know how long to clamp it for. The buttons are in a good spot that you don’t accidentally press them while you’re holding it. So far it’s been a 10 hour day and the curls are still there- despite my hair spray having run out.

There weren’t much reviews from black women with pictures on this item so I took a gamble. I have 4A hair texture and I used the 1 inch waver/crimper after already having my hair straightened for a week and just wanted to add some waves/texture to change it up. After reading reviews I didn’t want to turn the temp up too high. I achieved the look in the picture using the 300 temperature setting for a 10 second hold. I would have liked more pronounced waves and had to go over some sections more than once and probably could have turned the heat higher to prevent having to go over a few sections but didn’t want to damage my hair. Now it did work. But it still gave that “flat iorn” smell other reviews have mentioned and I just used some olaplex oil after I was finished and it help with the smell and the next day the smell was completely gone. CONS: I will say that the timer is iffy didn’t always sound after 10 seconds, the waver itself could open up wider to make it easier to grab sections, and it sometimes snags hairs between the plates and plastic body of the waver PROS: timer (when working- worked most of the time), quick heat, easy to handle, works for 4A hair texture, only took 15 mins to do whole head (I have thin hair), has rubber guards/grips on the edge of the iron so you don’t burn your fingers and they act as grips so the iron doesn’t slide on the counter or burn it (this was a nice touch). All in all, I do like it and will continue to use it

I received the TYMO ROVY Beach Waves Deep Waver today. I used it and the curl performance was impressive but the one negative I have to say is that my hair had a strong burnt odor to it that followed me around for hours until I washed my hair and even after that, it still had a slight burnt odor that lingered. Ick. Other than that the ease of use was nice and the timer to move the waver to the next segment was helpful. I liked that it had a locking mechanism for storage and the temperature gauge was good. Sadly, I will be returning this waver for a refund. I can't get over the burnt hair smell. After reading many of the reviews, that seems to be a problem for many.

After seeing influencer videos on social media for weeks I finally made the purchase. I have tried so many curling irons, why not try one more? My hair has NEVER been so curly and voluminous in my many years of curling my VERY straight hair. The curls lasted for THREE days and probably would have even looked good on day 4 if I had let it go another day. I am BLOWN away by the results and everyone who has seen my hair after using this has also been blown away. Worth every penny. I curled my whole head of hair in less than 15 minutes- all of the videos circulating social media that say you’re done in minutes are accurate. Highly recommend this curler!

I’m super impressed with this beach wave curler! It arrived safely, well-packaged with zero damage. I went with the 1.25 inch option, which is pretty big—great for longer hair like mine, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for shorter styles just because of how wide the barrel is. What blew me away is how wicked fast it heats up—seriously, it hits full temperature in under 2 minutes, which is the fastest I’ve ever seen with any curler. It’s really easy to turn on and operate, though the technique takes a little getting used to. With a bit of practice, though, the results are amazing. Now I’m really curious to try the 1 inch version—seems like it would be perfect for travel, and maybe even a better fit for shorter hair. Overall, this is a high-quality tool that delivers beautiful, effortless waves. Definitely recommend!
