My mounting was to multiple 2x6s but going in the opposite direction, lengthwise ro the swing. Since the mounting holes didn't center on those 2x6s (too close together), I had to improvise and used 8" bolts that went through the 2x6s and then through another 2x6 laid across the others, and used a washer and nylock nut to hold it in place. Should hold a ton of weight, literally.
