This air fryer is powerful, functions well, and significantly cuts down on cook time. I really appreciate that it doesn't heat up the kitchen as when using the oven. Food cooks evenly, turning crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Apart from air frying food, the unit can dehydrate, toast, proof, broil, bake, reheat, roast, grill, and slow cook. This is my first smart oven & air fryer purchase. I intentionally waited, extensively searching and researching, to find one with a large capacity that heats quickly and offers many functions, particularly proofing and dehydrating. This unit has cut down on the amount of kitchen appliances needed, and I'm very grateful for that. It will also come in handy during the holidays when preparing and cooking several dishes at a time, especially the turkey. I highly recommend it and strongly suggest you purchase it. I don't know any other way of saying this, but after going through several highly expensive Breville toaster ovens (all breaking anywhere from 2-3 years, I had given up on trying to find another toaster oven from any brand. But as all of us tend to do, while perusing on Amazon, we came across the NuWave brand, and I happened to see this Nuwave Bravo XL Pro Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill Combo, 2025 New Ultra-Fast Convection System, and decided to pull the trigger and ordered one. Not being aware of the NuWave brand, I knew I was taking a chance, but ordered it anyway. It came in record time (like next day). When I opened the box (well packaged by the way), I found a variety of accessories, trays, a sizable cook book with various interesting recipes, and basic instruction manual and an additional card to register for a full 5 year warranty (which I did quickly). Firstly, this NuWave toaster oven looks great. It is substantial lighter feeling than the previous much heavier Brevilles, but I've got to say that the heat coming from the outside of this NuWave oven is not as hot as what I experienced with the Breville models - now go figure. That was actually a nice revelation because in the past, I had burned myself coming in touch with the outside side and top panels of the Brevilles. But I'm not getting that from this NuWave - now go figure? Granted, it still gets warm - don't get me wrong here - but just not as piercingly hot (on the outside) as some of the other brands do. This entire unit with its various buttons is very intuitive - no having to scratch your head in order to figure out how to do something. And there are a wealth of options. A child could do it, and everything cooks perfectly. We have no complaints with regard to cooking temperatures, and we couldn't be happier. Why I hadn't investigated the NuWave brand in the past is beyond me, and to get a full 5-year warranty was wonderful to say the least. Another thing to keep in mind is that the layout and feel of the interior, makes it easier to clean than other brand models. So this Nuwave Bravo XL Pro Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill Combo, 2025 New Ultra-Fast Convection System gets the full 5 stars from us. It is a quality made unit that still remains light to hold and lift, yet contains the heat much more effectively than some of the other much more expensive (other brand) units that we've had over the past 10 years. This appliance is amazing. They have figured out how to put outstanding features and technology in a Toaster Oven /Air Fryer (and it does lot more) into a manageable sized Appliance. I had limited counter space and was concerned that the outside measurements were incorrect. The outside measurements are accurate, it will fit in the dimensions stated, yet the interior is larger than any other similar machines I had previously researched. This appliance does everything that they say it will do. It is very easy to operate. The overall quality is very good. It heats very fast. It maintains the heat that you set it for. The versatility of the 3 different fan speeds is very useful. You are also in control of the amount of heat from the top vs bottom heating elements! The probe is an outstanding addition for accurate results of larger meats, such as a roast! When you have an appliance that is so versatile, and you have complete control of the functions, the food you diligently prepared will taste amazing. The cookbook is extremely useful. It is also attractive on my counter. I am almost 70 years old, and I love it. I couldn't be happier.

Have been using for 3-4 months and have been happy with its performance. It took some time to get used to the controls and functionalities, but it is an effective air fryer and toaster oven. The internal capacity allows for a wide range of standard trays and pans. Everything seems to cook evenly, although when using the convection fan this unit seems to cook even faster than conventional convection ovens so need to adjust accordingly I really like the temperature probe feature, it’s great when cooking things like steak or larger cuts of meat. Again, there may be some adjustment needed from suggested temperatures to achieve a desired level of cooking. Perhaps the only issue I’ve encountered is cleaning the crumb/drip tray. Any cooked on grease or drippings can be a little challenging. So it’s important to clean the tray very frequently. However, it’s easy to remove and clean as long as nothing is baked on.

I love this thing. It is not just an over-blown toaster oven. It actually air fries. I love to cook NY strips in this on the grill rack, as well. It has taken the place of other appliances, for many cooking-related things, for me. Tip - make sure to buy a pack of parchment papers so that you are not dripping stuff everywhere, I am not particularly fond of that part, especially since the elements are not totally shielded on the bottom (about my only criticism).

Update after 10 months - upgrading from 3 to 5 stars to reflect stellar customer service to address our issue. Nuwave just replaced our oven (minus racks & crumb tray) after I reached out about the noise issue I described at the bottom of the original review. It took less than a week from submitting a video of the issue to receiving the new unit! The annoyances described below still remain but they are minor and I now consider them part of the learning curve with any new appliance. Original review: We have been using this little oven daily for a few months, and while we really like it I have durability concerns and a few call outs. The good: The unit feels well built, and the menu is mostly easy to navigate. It heats up quickly, cooks fast, and is fairly easy to keep clean. We love that it goes to 500F in pizza mode! Annoying features: the convection fan really speeds up cooking, however the front right corner of the oven cooks noticeably faster. This means you need to keep an eye on your food and rotate it halfway through the cooking time or the corner of the tray will be burnt by the time the opposite corner is cooked. Another annoying feature is that the oven won't tell you if you forgot to press 'start'. I know you can't blame the oven for user error, but this happens more easily than you might think. There is nothing on the display indicating whether the oven is actually heating, so you might set it to 400F for 20mins and find out 30 mins later it still says 400F for 20mins because you forgot to push the dial before walking away. Seems like an easy fix. The last one, which is minor, is that the oven light flickers while the oven is on. Not a deal breaker, and many might not notice, but annoying once you do notice. Durability concern: within a week of using the oven, the convection fan started making a weird noise when turning the oven on. The noise usually goes away within 10-15seconds, but it happens at every use. I worry that the fan won't last very long, and it is a key feature of this oven -no air fry without it, and I suspect slower cooking times. See video recording.

Update11/25 Taking a star away. Until I made a roast and a casserole oven was very easy to clean. Now the interior side walls do not come clean. I still like oven. Works as described. Perhaps Im missing what I have to do to clean. I use a soft soapy sponge. Update: still have not made a roast or casserole. Have used for bacon, steak and frozen chicken breasts. All have turned out gr8. Still happy after nearly a year. First time user of a counter toaster oven. I almost spent a heck of a lot more money for a bigger name brand but settled on this one and so far I'm glad I did. I will say that, like another reviewer, I was not happy with the odor admitted from this machine. It did warn that such a thing was possible in the instructions and after using it several times over a few days its just about gone. Initially some burnt toast and a burnt pizza were my results. Now after several orders of toasted bagels and toast, as well as a couple pizzas and baked potatoes, the machine has produced wonderful results. Obviously the previous times were definitely user error. I dont find the machine difficult to use or clean. I just have to get used to the difference in cooking times vs standard oven. So far the best feature for me is being able to set different temperature times on the top and bottom of meal, such as a pizza. It works great. Even better with a perforated ceramic pizza pan. Reheating is better than a microwave. Not yet ready to make something more difficult such as baking a roast or a casserole. Will update when I do. For now, I'm so far very happy with it. It's not difficult to use and it cooks well. It's not really noisy. It cooks fast. Doesn't emit huge heat. Accessories are decent quality. Price was right.
