Awesome video and super portable
I purchased this product prior to a trip to South America. I received it without time to practice or prep - just charge and learn on the go. It was simple and easy to use even though I am not a practiced action cam user. The videos are clear. The case is easy to use and there are a ton of accessories. There are maybe too many pieces - it was a little daunting trying to ascertain how best to use the various options on the go. That is both a compliment and a consideration for novice users. While photo and video quality is high, camera function isn't as easy as it could be. Again, I am not an experienced user, but at times had trouble switching between video and photo mode. I missed some shots fidgeting with that. Also, the auto record feature could be more obvious. I inadvertently recorded a sequence of about 90 one minute videos while the camera sat on a table at a restaurant filming the ceiling fan. Again, user error, but seems more easily avoidable. I don't know how controls compare to Go Pro which I bought this in place of, however I do not regret selecting this over Go Pro in the least. The battery life is stellar and came with two batteries and easy recharge capability plus the aforementioned too many to note accessories. If an action camera that does what it is supposed to do and includes practically everything you need to do it at a reasonable price, I believe this product succeeds quite nicely.

Amazing camera for an amazing price!
My partner and I bought this camera because we are going backpacking across the USA and we wanted to film the experience. We have never owned an action camera before so we wanted to buy something on a budget. After comparing many companies that offer action cameras AKASO seemed the best quality for the reasonable price and it had the best reviews. We were then deciding between AKASO EK7000 / BRAVE 4 and v50 pro. After visiting their website we decided to buy the last one because it really had everything and even more of what we wanted. It comes with a hard plastic box which looks really pretty and on top you get the camera in it's waterproof case and below you have all the mounts. Everything was in perfect condition. We tested the waterproof case and all the accessories. Both batteries work. We just had to buy the SD card, which it stated it didn't come in the pack and we bought 64GB with the right speed and it works great. The little manual you get with it is really short but they provide the link to the FULL manual which explains every tool you get with the camera and all its menus and features. I personally like to read the manual first and it helped me figure out the camera really quickly. We tested it through a couple of days. The pictures look really clear and nice. But we were more excited for the video. We filmed at home and in the car and the footage is great. I was really surprised about the image stabilization because that was a feature that convinced us to buy this model and it works amazing. Overall we are really happy with the camera. We didn't think it was going to be this good for such a low price. It looks good, feels good in the hand. It's nicely made and the video is top noch for such a low price. If you are deciding to buy this camera and you want to make good videos and need stabilization and different features then this camera is the right for you. We know we are going to make stunning videos on the road. Way to go AKASO!

Very decent budget action camera with sharp clear pictures and videos
I need a pretty decent, affordable and good quality waterproof action camera for my family outdoor adventures such as recording fishing on the beach. I am a very serious buyer, always doing research before buying. After spending a lot of time searching on the website, reading customer reviews and watching videos on youtube. I finally decided to buy AKASO V50 PRO Native K30fps 20M Wifi action camera, which just cost me under $100 with a bunch of accessories. The key is that this is a camera which should take very clear pictures and videos with true colors. Yes it does its job! Additionally, It has a watch-like remote control which can take pictures and shoot videos when using a selfie stick, but you kind of need to press the button very hard. A phone app which you can download and also can link your camera for pictures and videos taking, also for pictures and videos review. ONLY after you download the pictures and videos you can view very sharp and clear pictures and videos. BTW, I use SanDisk Ultra PLUS microSDXC UHS-I card (128GB), it really works without any problem even though the manufacturer recommend 64GB. Two batteries are provided, extra batteries are also available on amazon website. The reason I gave 4 stars because I think they might need some improvement for this camera. 1. I think most buyers are not family with any newly bought devices, so the manufacturer should provide a very detailed step by step manual and instructions for customers. For example, I spent time to figure out how to remove the camera from the mount in the box, I even think I am a little bit stupid. Actually, you might do not know how to remove it when you touch it for the first time. Only one cable provided in the box, but there are two cable slots in the camera, they did not even label it, which really confuse customers even though they mentioned in the online Manuel. They did not mention what kind of cell battery for remote control, which you can be alerted to buy an extra for later urgent replacement. So far I am still need to spend time to figure out it since most of time I need remote control when I am fishing on the beach. The manual said this camera can be used as a dash camera, but did no mention any more details. I wondering when I use this camera as a dash camera, whether I need plug in another car cable charging! Should I remove the battery! Any negative impact for camera when exposed high temperature during summer? What temperature range can be accepted? Anyway I have a lot of questions about the usage for this camera, but I can not find in the manual. 2. This camera has lots of tricks that manual did not mention. Fore example, some settings can NOT be saved after you shut down the camera, so you need to reset after you turn on and want to use it again, which really confuse me so much that I thought my device has some defective. Later I found some customers mentioned it in the review after I further searched. So I would rather manufacturer should give more details in the online manual, please do not just let customers to spend time to figure out. All these concerns or questions will affect the whole rating for this product. 3, For this model, they mentioned this camera support external microphone. This is a plus and I really need an long extra microphone for audio recording. After I ordered this camera, then I spent a a lot of time searching to find a good quality microphone. After I found one decent microphone which includes a mini usb adapter for cable slot plus an extra 20 feet lone cord. But after further reading camera reviews, I found tons of customers are complaining about external microphone, most customers said the microphone does not work. Some related with camera versions and some related with sound quality and microphone compatibility (one guy made several video clips and posted on youtbue to discuss this issue, another guy provided some science proofs to verify why does not work in the customer review even though I do not quite understand the electricity). Finally, I found ONLY one specific microphone can be accepted by this camera, kind of you do not bother to find other microphone. I think the seller should clearly mention ONLY one SPECIFIC microphone is compatible to this camera. But looks like the reviews about this microphone are really bad. So I think the external microphone compatibility might be a bug for this camera. The microphone cost $10 for short cord, I would not to buy this item to take the risk. If the seller can send me a free microphone, I would like to try and test (LOL). 4, I am still think if this camera can support a voice control or blue tooth control for selfie stick, it would be more convenient and perfect. Anyway I am still testing this camera to get family with it, hopefully you can find the review described above useful for new new customers and all others still confused with this camera usage, also I think it is good for manufacturer to improve this product. If necessary I will update it later. Thanks, and have fun with your new camera. Update: got free more accessories in several days. customer service is good. So far camera works well.

Good action cam that doesn't break the bank.
Good product that meets my needs. Video stabilization much better than those of same price point. I feel this takes more natural color.

I am amazed how close this camera comes to Gopro Hero for a third of the price.
I ride a motorcycle and have purchased four video cameras over the last couple of years. I have s Sony HDRAS300, a Yi 4k (don't make that one anymore), a Gopro Black 7 (which is white), and the Akaso V50 Pro. I bought the Akaso to stick on my drones because the included cameras on the drones have no image stabilization. I did not want to use my other three cams because they are expensive and I have crashed several drones. I have no use for the Sony as I cannot get it mounted on my helmet like I want, so I basically use the Yi and Gopro for my motorcycle videos. I mounted the Akaso on my Xero drone and crashed it. The drone is done for but the Akaso survived. The last ride I took, I put my Akaso on my helmet and gave it a try to use as a backup on my rides in case something happens to my Gopro while I am on the road. I am amazed, I mean really amazed at the video. The Akaso colors are as vibrant and the Gopro and more so than the Yi. Also the stabilization is fine mounted on my helmet. I plugged it in to a usb port on my handlebar and it ran for a couple of hours straight from my motorcycle battery. The only limitation is the size of the micro sd card which is 64 MB. The Gopro can handle 128 MB which allows me to ride and forget about running out of space and it will also run off my motorcycle battery. The Akaso cannot match the Gopro apples to apples at 1080p which is what I record in but the Akaso can match the Gopro at 1080p if the Akaso is set to 4k which is really not 4k as I understand from other people reviewing on Youtube. However, both the Akaso at "4k" and the Gopro at 1080p have about the same file size. The Gopro makes a 17:38 minute file size at 3.90 GB for 1080p. The Akaso makes s 17:33 minute file at 3.87 file size. I cannot speak for other activities like snowboarding or surfing or stuff I don't do that may overcome the image stabilization, but the Akaso is fine mounted on my helmet. I paid about $119 for the Akaso and a mounting kit and about double that for the Gopro Black 7...never buy the current Gopro model as it is way overpriced. I am not a paid reviewer and I don't get stuff from the manufacturer or anything like that...I buy my own stuff and try it out to see if it meets my needs. My opinion is as follows: The Sony is a good camera but way overpriced because it has limited mounting options or either they are a pain. The Yi is almost as good as the Gopro as it has solid image stabilization and crisp video, but the colors a not as vibrant, and it cost me about as much as the Gopro 7. I cannot find the Yi selling anywhere reputable anymore. I bought the Gopro because most videos on Youtube use it. I got the 7 after the 8 had been out for quite a while, and the 7 was discounted a lot. The 7 is a great camera, and I cannot see getting an 8 as great is enough and better than great is a waste of money. The Akaso V50 Pro is a fine, fine camera for the price you pay. If you can afford a Hero 7 then get that as it lives up to its reputation, but otherwise the Akaso is the better value because double the price does not really get you much more. One last thing...I did have to contact Gopro support as the Gopro started having an issue with stuttering video after I did a firmware update. Tech support had me reset the unit, and that fixed it. However now it will only turn off if I give it the verbal command to do so...it will not turn off with the button. It is a good camera but the sofware is not good. No such problems with my other three cameras. They are rock solid.

This is the one
This Akaso V50 pro native is the best camera I have ever owned. I consider this better than almost all Go-Pro's. The video quality is fantastic, at any resolution. The stabilization is unbelievable. If you're taking a picture, the quality is amazing. The features are top notch and easily accessible. Also, they are very easily set. The touch screen is not jumpy and responds great. In the case they are also a breeze to manage, using the buttons on top or the watch. The first one I got I did have some issues and had to return it and got a full refund. Instead of getting a different camera, I got the same Akaso. And I really glad I did. I had been looking for an action camera for a year or so, trying to find one that was a high quality and had the features I wanted. The "Stereo" sound recording is a bonus, and the sound is crystal clear. And of course, as almost all action cameras, when it's in the waterproof casing, the sound is muffled. The look of the Akaso is sleek and discrete. it just simply looks great. The Akaso V50 pro was the one that beat all others hands down. Comes with some nice extras too. Although, I did buy an extra accessory package. Now I'm all set. I take it everywhere I can. I highly recommend this camera. UPDATE - 5/11/2025: I've never had any issues with this camera since I bought it. I've used it lightly and have always stored it and the accessories carefully in foam. Just last week I put in a freshly charged battery and held the power button for 3 seconds and the screen with all the option settings were there. I made a few videos and took pictures. Everything was perfect. I shut it off, then after a few minutes I held the power button for 3 seconds again to turn it on, but all it will do is just show the beginning Akaso screen and it will not go to settings. It just stays on the first screen. I can't shut it off with the power button either. The only way to power it off is remove the battery. I will try and get assistance form the Akaso site on Monday. I hope they may be able to help. I've had it for almost 10 years and hardly used it at all. I've tried everything. I'm at a loss as what to do.

Great Action Camera for the Average User
Context: I want to do some ultra hikes this summer and was reading a blog who attached a GoPro to their backpack using time interval photos. That sounded like a great idea but the GoPro was way too pricey and the lower tier models you can’t change the batteries. That led me around the reviews and blogs for action cameras. I had picked up the CamPark x90 first but returned it. I settled on the Akaso V50 Pro. It’s got a lot for the money. I paired it with one of those Chinese adapter bundles for the backpack clip. The camera itself is tiny, 2 button function with a waterproof case, 2 batteries, and several adapters. I wish the battery power lasted just a tad longer. Over the last month and half I’ve used it on 3 test hikes all about 10 miles each, 2 dives, 1 beach day and 1 fun hike in a tropical location. I read reviews to change the angle from super wide to wide but found for my particular situation super wide looks best when I get a clean shot. The results are mixed. Because I’m moving 2-3mph the photos are easily blurred. I set up time interval shots every 3 or 10 seconds. 3 is just way too many and drains the battery in the area of 1.5hr. I could see moving to 10-15s next hike. I found the photos blur with medium light and movement easily. If there is a scene you want, stopping to get the photo will work best. Easier than removing my mirrorless camera every time. First 3 hikes I took between 1200-1800 and kept maybe 30 each. Scenery wasn’t the most picturesque, mostly woodlands in the Shenandoah NP. The photo interval in a tropical area was concerning. Moisture quickly filled the inside of the waterproof case so I don’t know how well it really is sealed for long term diving. Both micro sd cards and the camera itself were dry. I recall a small drop of water on the case when cleaning it back at the dive shop. There is probably some genuine risk as other reviewers have noticed that the case is not the best for diving and over time will leak. Maybe shallower dives around 10-15m would be better. With that said, the red filter made the quality of the video under water pretty awesome. My dive instructor and I both took videos, his is much more smoother to watch and I’m happy with the results. The beach day photos came out great and we used it in the water as well, shoulder depth. The moisture had cleared by the time we got there. Can’t remember if it was any where in the user manual. After water activities, rinse in cold water and let device/case air dry if you can as a precaution Overall, I’d say it’s 3.5-4 star for the price and product. If it continues to work as such with no defects and survives 2-3 dives a year I’d say an even 4. The GoPro really wasn’t an option. Have another hike in VT late spring and hope it will work as planned. If it can’t, may have to reconsider but the battery life and image stabilization could still be a problem.

As good as much more expensive cameras but very affordable.
As a reviewer and user of cheap and more expensive action cameras I was actually quite surprised with the Akaso V50 Pro. The video quality is very good to excellent. The audio was what surprised me the most. Even without the external microphone, that you can purchase separately on Amazon, the audio was on par with the GoPro Hero 6 and 7. I was actually very surprised and satisfied with the audio I was getting out of this camera.. And it was a hair over $100.00. Where like cameras struggle in this area, the V50 Pro excelled. This camera comes with everything you need to get started with taking videos and the includes a water proof case and any kind of attachment you can think of. The microphone doesn't come with the Akaso V50 Pro, but in my testing I found that the inbuilt microphones gave outstanding performance and audio quality was top shelf. You can purchase the microphone for $10.00, from Amazon. Controls were intuitive and easy to get used to, although the touch screen capabilities were limited. The camera comes with more than one inbuilt microphone, spaced out on the camera, and as I said before, I think the audio on this camera is top shelf. You can watch my full review on my YouTube channel "Hayes Tech and Rom Reviews"... I will be putting this camera up against other budget action cameras soon but for now I am highly recommending this action camera if you can not afford to get a GoPro Hero 7 Black. I still think the GoPro Hero 7 Black is the standard by which all action cameras should be judged against (just my opinion) and the Akaso V50 Pro is giving GoPro a run for the money. So I can highly recommend the Akaso V50 Pro.

Excellent product
The product was delivered on time. It is an excellent product though I am writing this review after receiving the product only on 21st Oct 2018. The video quality is very good. We have not tried it under water. Works very well under low light. The product is simply great compared to the price you pay. The many accessories that came with the product include a water resistant case and two batteries. Hence you will not run out of power in remote locations. Works very well with a sandisk 32gb card though tge support document says it supports 64gb. Overall an excellent product. The service is also very prompt. Since we had some issues in getting sound we just sent them a mail seeking support. The answer came promptly with solution and it worked in a jiffy. It works excellent with iSmart Pro+ to be downloaded from play store. It is definitely better than most costly iriduct available in Indian market which cones without any accessories or second battery.

No es a prueba de agua
La descripcion dice que es resistente al agua, pero dejo de funcionar a los 5 minutos, incluso con la cubierta puesta.
