Roycederm Tea Tree Antifungal Shampoo: Folliculitis Shampoo for Dry Scalp, Dandruff, and Itchy Scalp - Medicated Clarifying shampoo with Tea Tree Oil, Paraben & Sulfate Free

Using Roycederm as a skin cleanser is an off-label use, but I noticed that Roycederm has 3% Salicylic Acid, a higher concentration than the best-known brand name of shampoos advertised as using Salicylic Acid. Salicylic Acid is most commonly used for acne, but per Medlineplus: "(Salicylic Acid)...treats other skin conditions by softening and loosening dry, scaly, or thickened skin so that it falls off or can be removed easily." Read the entire article in MedlinePlus (it's a government website; National Institute of Health) and/or check with your physician, because there are contraindications. However, wow. I have had excellent results using this as an "underboob" cleanser, as well as any other skin folds where itchy yeast overgrowth is a problem. I still have to use an antifungal cream, and I use a skin barrier like diaper rash paste with zinc in the summer, but this is a soothing and effective cleanser for places where skin folds over other skin, causing itching, odor, slipperiness, and scaling. I use the Roycederm only on the areas that need it and leave it on while I continue my shampooing and general body cleansing. I rinse off the Roycederm as the last step of showering. It's important to massage the Roycederm onto your wet skin using fingers only. Applying it with a washcloth or anything else scrubby might damage already inflamed skin. I accidentally learned that if I wash my underarms with Roycederm I can go without deodorant. Go cautiously if you decide to try this. This is effective at my level of activity and without using deodorant over it. If I ran track or was effected by upsetting conditions that cause "stress sweat", I wouldn't want to rely on it. Also, I wouldn't want to put deodorant over the area I've washed with the Roycederm because both products have active ingredients and I have no idea what the reaction might be. For my specific conditions, it works to retard underarm odor and I was delighted and surprised to make this discovery. So: please check my information with your physician for using this as the off-label use, but know that this is a great shampoo. My husband has stopped scratching, and his hair is soft and glossy.

I was a little skeptical about this product but I’ve been using it for a few months now and I’m very happy with it. My dandruff went away after only using it for a few days. I love the smell and I also love the way it leaves my hair. It does not dry it too much, nor is it greasy. I highly recommend it!

I’ve been dealing with scalp folliculitis for 3 years. Tender and extremely itchy bumps All over my scalp! Have tried so many things with little to no improvement. Been using this shampoo for 6 weeks. My scalp is slowly but gradually improving. The bumps are much smaller and much less itchy. It has 3% salicylic which helps to exfoliate the scalp and you log follicles. I use it 3-4 X a week. It’s important to leave it in for several minutes. when I have time I’ll leave on for longer. What I really like about it is that it doesn’t dry out my scalp/ hair. My hair feels soft and bouncy afterwards. Win win! I have come to terms with the fact it may never go away and this will be my permanent maintenance to keep it to a minimum. I had acne in my 20’s -30’s and I had to always keep up on my skincare or it would return. Same idea with the folliculitis.

I bought this shampoo thinking it was like the shower gel but it's not ...this has salicylic acid

I bought these for dandruff control and conditioning. Tea tree oil is a great additive that is 100% natural. Absent are the chemicals that I dislike and refuse to put on my skin. The scrub helps loosen the flakiness so it can be rinsed out of my hair. The cream rinse leaves a nice earthy aroma in my hair and helps it stay in place.

I just received this ‘poo yesterday. I didn’t see 3% salicylic acid and was elated. Now no need for separate T-Sal. I’ve destroyed my scalp with greasy formulated ketoconazole but it did kill the fungus. I’m using this ‘poo at least every other day to keep my scalp fungus under control. So far so good after just one use. I have moderate scales scattered on scalp only. Stress is a big trigger for my scalp to wig out, but (my favorite season) Winter cold triggers an increase in fungus issues (scales intense itch painful scalp). It lathers but not a lot which is good for my scalp. Great value since I’m buying one ‘poo that has herbs tea tree oil and 3% salicylic acid….and it’s a lot of product for my 1/2” hair. It smells good; I didn’t read the offsetting ingredient(s) to the medicinal smelling tea tree oil so I was pleasantly surprised I wasn’t knocked out by the typical tea tree oil scent (I’m scent sensitive. Most people don’t mind tea tree oil scent). I subscribed as I bought the first bottle with cyber Monday pricing. My scalp is well nourished non itchy comfortable and CLEAN. I’ll be getting the rosemary pre ‘poo scrub for weekly deep cleaning. My scalp reacts well to weekly scrubs. Roycederm is new to me. I’m impressed and will now have only the scrub and ‘poo. Simple. No more greasy hair and scalp.

I give it a 5 star because this shampoo has completely transformer my hair. I’m almost out and I need to reorder soon. Since using this shampoo & Conditioner a month ago I finally see new hair growth yay 😍 and I’m so grateful ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent 👍. Use it every third day. Much improved scalp condition. (I am a baldy). Less itchy and smoother skin. This shampoo is not cheap but it works for me. Sod the expense, there's no pockets in shrouds. I give it 5 stars 🤩

Firstly I loved this shampoo. It completely cleared up my dry scalp and I thought I’d found my wonder cure! That was until my most recent purchase, I realised immediately that something was different. The liquid has gone from thick and sticky to thin and watery meaning I had to use a lot more. I’ve also had to go from washing my hair every 3 days to every other as my hair is noticeably greasy and my dry scalp is also stating to return. I’m praying I just got a bad batch and will give it one more go but if the liquid is the same next time I will be returning it and trying to find something else that works

Bought this for a friend prior to surgery, it combined well with the prescribed antibacterial soaps prescribed her. She said it was really nice to use.
