These are microfiber so they have a tendency to pill in areas that have some abrasion such as a shoe rubbing. Due to their being a bit small on me, the cut-out bit on my stomach (right below the waistband) did show through a thin-fabric, body-tight dress I had been planning to wear with the tights, but they looked great with a different body conforming dress of a thicker fabric.They are definitely opaque, and seem really well-made.
