I was looking for something to keep my laptop charging cable from constantly getting kinked and tangled with other things in my bag while on the go.Highlights:Pros- Good looking, soft felt- Solid build, feels like it'll last- Slim profile- Easy to carry in any bag- Cord wrap and release is quick and easyCons- You can find cheaper solutions with same quality, you would be hard pressedConstruction:The felt is really soft to touch right out the box which makes it comfortable to hold and carry. The material itself is 1/8in thick which feels really sturdy but is thin enough that it doesn’t add significant extra bulk to the charger. Seems like it will hold up for a long time, even when getting thrown around inside of a travel bag all the time.The elastic straps on the sides, one holds the Taim onto the charger and the other holds the cord in place, are really well made. A lot stronger and thicker than your typical band of elastic fabric material. Definitely holds the cord in place when in use without concerns about it getting loose.At the end of the cord holding elastic band is a solid metal bar with the Bair logo. The tab makes it really easy to identify where to grab in order to release the cable when you’re ready to work. Feels like it was made out of a single piece of metal with similar design to Apple products, which makes sense.Functional WIseI took the chance anyway thinking that I could just wrap up the extension cable separately if it didn’t. But I am happy to say that it works great with wrapping both around the charger, at least on my larger MacBook Pro charger. But I’ve also found that it’s just as quick and easy if you simply coil both cables together around your hand and then use the elastic band to hold them to the side of the charger. So if you are concerned about that, or have a smaller charger, then I would still recommend this product.I haven’t found anything else like this that is both functional and attractive. Other solutions I’ve explored tend to have complicated plastic winding mechanisms or tiny slots that they expect you to carefully wind the cable into. I can tell you from experience that I have given up on those very quickly after the first time I’ve needed to quickly get set up while rushing to get on a meeting and having to fumble around with a cord jammed up into the thing that was supposed to solve the problem. And then having to tediously coil it back up again at the end of a long day when you’re tired and just ready to get home. No thanks!Overall, I am happy with this and would certainly purchase it again based on its quality and ease of use. It has been a welcomed change from my perpetually tangled cables with no loss in storage capacity. I give the product five stars as it met all my expectations with no real drawbacks as mentioned above.
